We develop, own and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes. Additionally, we implement a broad array of scattered-site, one-on-one supportive housing, and clinical case management programs through partnerships with developmental services, homeless services, veterans' services and health care sectors.

PROGRAM SUMMARY
Breaking Barriers is an innovative rapid rehousing program that serves adults who are on felony probation in Los Angeles County and are experiencing homelessness. Breaking Barriers provides a rental subsidy combined with housing retention, intensive case management, and employment services. The goal is for clients to fully assume rental payments and "transition in place" at program end.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Breaking Barriers Program Associate will provide housing and administrative support to the overall Breaking Barriers program. The Program Associate will locate housing resources, units and build external relationships to help clients identify appropriate housing opportunities and community. The Program Associate will work collaboratively with the Breaking Barriers Program Manager to complete administrative processes, such as data entry, managing documents and reports. The Program Associate plays a critical role in supporting the program through administrative skills and customer service lens to engage external and housing partnerships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Housing/External Partnerships:β’ Build positive relationships with landlords and property managers to assist with increasing housing availability for clients β’ Complete unit viewings and paperwork associated with housing processβ’ Collaborate with Case Managers regarding housing leads, available units and resources β’ Provide support throughout the housing process including but not limited to temporary housing placement, unit identification, application submissions, lease signing, and ongoing housing retention. β’ Build relationships with a variety of community partners and resources, including legal services, physical and mental health services, substance use treatment, government benefits, education/vocational programs, parenting programs, etc. β’ Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, service providers, public entities, and landlords to ensure that clients have access to comprehensive services. Administrative: β’ Provide technical and administrative assistance to the Program Manager and overall Breaking Barriers Program β’ Assist in planning and organizing team building activities, team meetings and trainings, and professional development workshops β’ Assist in planning and organizing client activities and events β’ Utilize Salesforce and CHAMP to assist with data entry, reporting and management of documents β’ Assist in preparation of client and program newsletters and mailing β’ Develop and maintain program files, documents and resources

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE β’ 1 to 2 years of successful administrative, project coordination or comparable experience.β’ Knowledge of or experience in non-profit supportive housing.β’ Experience with homeless and/or justice-involved populations a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY β’ Strong interpersonal and engagement skills β’ Flexibility regarding scheduling and prioritizing of tasks β’ Demonstrated writing and researching skills. β’ Excellent organizational, communication, and planning skills.β’ High degree of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently and simultaneously. β’ Solid team player who is able to work well collaboratively on projects and under pressure. β’ Basic computer knowledge (MS Word and Excel required) β’ Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in cross-cultural situation

All employees are required to be Fully Vaccinated (Initial dose(s) + ONE BOOSTER). If you are unvaccinated, you will be required to apply for a Medical or Religious Exemption within the FIRST 60 (Sixty) days from the first day of employment and have your exemption approved by People Services (Human Resources). All Employees that have an approved Exemption may have to test WEEKLY due to contractual agreement(s) with our Funders.
