Job Description
The program content engineer organizes the direction, structure and application of content for one or more existing or new products throughout the product development cycle (from concept to launch). This individual works closely with product managers across product groups (e.g., Alignment, Care Delivery, Reporting and Performance) to understand market insights to inform the specification of program content. Content development involves the writing of standards in healthcare quality improvement. Standards development is an iterative process that requires continuous engagement with NCQA advisory committees, standing committees, customers, and other stakeholders. The content engineer has or works to develop expertise in relevant health policy, standards-development and consensus-building mechanism.
Product Development. Serve as part of the product development process. Collaborate with team members to ensure successful feature/product launch. Develop a shared understanding of the product throughout the product development team and the broader organization through the creation supporting materials and documents. Work on the product roadmap that aligns with business strategy and market needs.
Lifecycle Management. Work on the product lifecycle, supporting formation activities up through to development, delivery and execution.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead product development content for existing (if applicable) and/or new programs.
- Take content through multiple iterations and integrate feedback from product manager(s), advisory committees, standing committees (Standards Committee, Clinical Programs Committee), public comment(s), pilots, customer and stakeholder discussions.
- Ensure content is based on best available practices and evidence.
- Develop consistent, clear, surveyable requirements across products
- Build, apply, operationalize, and evolve NCQA's standards development practices.
- Finalize fully viable products in Word for ease translation into survey systems (I.e. Product Builder/IRT and QPASS)
- Test standards in product builder in advance of launch.
- Lead presentations to internal and external stakeholders throughout the content development process to inform content.
- Manage public comments: set up public comment database and prepare all materials needed to execute public comment based on agreed upon timelines.
- Develop processes to enable common and reusable frameworks and content (taking best practices across products and segments).
- Develop and present education materials for surveyor training and education sessions that NCQA makes available to current and perspective customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree and 4+ years experience OR Master's degree and 2+ years experience
- Comprehensive information/feedback gathering and analytical skills
