Program Content Manager (Hybrid)

This position is responsible for the development of conference programming and high quality, educational content for M's corporate events, which include but are not limited to M Marketing Meeting, National Advisors Conference, and M Essentials. Additionally, this position supports content strategy and management within the Insurance Solutions Department. The ideal individual should have a strong understanding of M Financial's history, community, clients, business strategy, and goals, as well as the industry and target markets that we operate within. Exceptional leadership and administrative management is imperative. This individual will interface daily with both internal and external subject matter experts, stakeholders, and decision makers and must have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Set Programming Objectives
- Fully understand each signature event: audience, history, purpose, objectives
- Review historical survey data: main stage & breakout session comments and ratings (topics, quality etc.)
- Interview stakeholders including the Executive team, Board of Directors, prior PDC Chairs, business unit leads, and subject matter experts
- Research and evaluate industry competitor content and formatting models; identify what is most relevant, cutting-edge, and could support M Financial Group's current initiatives & thought leadership
- Set strategic programming objectives in collaboration with executive leadership and business units across M
Lead & Manage Program Development Committee (PDC)
- Brief incoming PDC Chairs on Roles & Responsibilities
- Share M Financial's programming objectives to align content development vision; set goals & objectives
- Support assembly of PDC; identify target invitees, support invitation and acceptance cycle
- Set meeting cadence and co-lead PDC meetings with PDC Chair
Lead Program Content Development
- Lead session and tracks content ideation with PDC
- Create and sustain agenda wireframe
- Create session titles and abstracts
- Consult with SMEs and PDC Chair/members to fully develop sessions
- Manage draft session titles and descriptions, continuously until copywriting is finalized
Speaker Sourcing & Management
- Set expectations regarding presentation quality
- Assign PDC members "lead" responsibility to develop/own session(s); support sourcing of speakers/presenters
- Invite and confirm session speakers; gather biographies and headshots
- Conduct meetings with each session/speaker group to set expectations on preparation, timeline
Support Insurance Solutions Content Strategy
- Support business leaders in prioritizing, developing, and maintaining high quality, relevant content
- Ensure appropriate alignment and consistency across business units; coordinate distribution as needed
- Oversee Technical Writer resource supporting subject matter experts
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of M Financial's history, community and clients, business strategy and goals
- Ability to work independently and proactively; demonstrate initiative, drive, orientation to goal accomplishment
- Exceptional attention to detail; organized and willing to create and sustain tracking or planning documents
- Understanding of and ability to work with the MarComm and Corporate Events teams to complete planning and review cycles to build programming
- Proven ability to track, prioritize and report on multiple projects, re-prioritizing as necessary
- Effective critical thinking and problem-solvingskills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the Program Development Committee, Executive Leadership Team, M Financial Group team members, M Member Firm Principals and Staff, and other external parties as needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, visual acuity for proofreading and document preparation
- Proficient using a computer and a variety of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and files sharing programs

- Hybrid work model offering a blend of virtual/work from home and onsite days designed to support flexibility
- Normal office environment/desk assignment
- Extensive use of PC's, computer terminal, display, keyboard, and mouse
- Extensive hands-on work with documents, spreadsheets, and other written documents
- Minimal travel
