Program Contol Analyst

The Integrated Products Division of Applied Research Associates, Inc (ARA) is looking for a Program Control Analyst to join our team! In this position you will work closely with Project Managers to provide project and program support for our commercial and government customers. As a Program Control Analyst, you will support the development, tracking and analysis of project budgets, assisting the project manager in budget and schedule execution. This position also supports our financial process improvement goals, supporting the automation of financial data collection and analysis.

• What you'll do as a Program Control Analyst
  • Support Project Managers with the following tasks:
    • Compile, analyze and track data that can influence cost, such as materials, labor, and special equipment requirements
    • Proactively anticipate and resolve any potential problems that may occur
    • Responsibilities include a wide range of duties involving monitoring of job progress, analysis of changes, and problem solving
    • Interfaces with vendors and customers as required
    • Works with PM to produce the contractor's Initial Schedule and then updates the schedule throughout the program
    • Uses the schedule to analyze the impact of change orders, delays, and any other schedule disruptions
    • Works with PM to produce critical scheduling information for the project team's use
    • Monitors performance reports against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met; arranges modifications as required
    • Involved in one project or numerous projects
  • Support Finance Department with the following tasks:
    • Maintain various proposal and project management spreadsheets, update with new information
    • Generate monthly Job Status Reports
    • Generate weekly labor reports
• Program Control Analyst Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or similar
  • 5-7 Years' experience
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel
  • Highly organized
  • Effective communicator
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Program Control Analyst Preferences
  • Familiarity with Power BI
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management practices
