We have an opportunity for a remote Program Coordinator, Innovation on our Center for Health & Equity team. As a Program Coordinator, Innovation, you are responsible for supporting various initiatives of the Innovation team. Coordinatetasks and align across multiple initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Coordination

  • Coordinate innovation initiative project plans, create detailed schedules properly sequencing activities, and resources to meet required deadlines.
  • Create agendas for and attend meetings with Innovation's external advisors and collaborators to track follow-ups and next steps.
  • Coordinate submissions for the development of new educational content
  • Coordinate assignments/milestones and execute in accordance with approved plans and requirements.
  • Ensure deliverables are on-time, within budget, and meet quality expectations.
  • Help identify and escalate issues/risks that need to be mitigated and take corrective action as needed.
  • Identify and pre-empt barriers to a project's successful execution, coordinate and communicate activities with other business units across the AMA, and external collaborators, as applicable.
  • Maintain the In Full Health mailbox, field incoming inquiries daily.
  • Regularly update and maintain budget, vendor, and consultant contract information in Excel.
  • Efficient handling of internal and external meeting scheduling daily.
  • Create equity and innovation documents including presentations decks, memos, and other materials.
  • Assist with communication to Collaborators and Advisors in identifying and defining their project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Assist in the creation and review of content for the In Full Health Newsletter, Blog and website.

Administrative Tasks

  • Create and maintain project plans, properly sequencing activities, and resources to meet required deadlines.
  • Responsible for internal and external meeting scheduling daily.
  • Regularly update and maintain budget, vendor, and consultant contract information in Excel.
  • Update and enter data into tracking systems/databases.
  • Coordinate vendor and consultant contracts for signature, budgets, and efficient handling of meeting scheduling and communications.
  • Create health equity documents including presentations decks, memos etc. inserting racial and social justice lens.
  • Support the Center in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with external and internal collaborators.

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with other CHE teams (or AMA Bus) to bring an innovation lens (i.e., potential partners, resources or strategies) to complement project.

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree required.
  2. Minimum 1+ year of experience in a program/project management role or relevant field required; PMP certificate a plus; experience working in the field of health equity
  3. Strong desire to engage with individuals/ communities of diverse backgrounds.
  4. Superb interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of management and outside business partners.
  5. Demonstrated organizational skills and proven track record of managing multiple, projects in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Demonstrated experience creating reports using the Microsoft Suite include presentations and written briefs
  7. Strong writing skills required, with the ability to conceptualize issues, synthesize a response and write/develop reports.
  8. Data analysis skills (quantitative and/or qualitative) preferred, analytical, critical thinking, skills a plus
  9. Some travel required.
  10. Experience creating reports using PowerPoint presentations and written briefs; exposure to Salesforce a plus.
  11. Proven track record of managing multiple projects at once.
  12. Demonstrated budgeting and resource planning skills required.
