  • Project management for NOV associated project work scopes.
  • Follow standardized processes, policies and operational procedures from a global operations perspective.
  • Responsible for all project planning activities including scope identification, creation of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Business Case.
  • Issue and track purchase orders for parts and services for internal and 3rd party requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of critical path activities affecting customer sensitive project deadlines; build contingency plans and implement recovery plans.
  • Responsible for project close out including invoicing, handovers and after action reviews.
  • Provide project management support to the Sales organization, including sales representatives, engineering, or other potential customers, create partnership relationships with all involved in a proposal or bid.
  • Follow consistent the current process as well as bring ideas to the team for continuous improvement to create a strong platform across the business units.
  • Manage all aspects of the pre-sale process to assure all project deliverables are met within the established time.
  • Document all information thoroughly through the pre-sale process, as our projects develop over several years and this information is sourced by various members of our team.
  • Effectively apply our methodology through the course of a project to assure compliance with the established company project plan.
  • It is critical to hear the needs of our customer and translate them into the appropriate fit and function for our customers.
  • Ensure total compliance with established quality assurance procedures.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects with concurrent deadlines. Workload demands do vary, and require that the Sales Project Manager to manage the needs of our customers.
  • Must be attentive to the potential risk aspect on all projects.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and project management experience.
  • 5+ years within a project management role.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar preferred.
  • Experience handling customers and internal stakeholders professionally throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong understanding of PMI principals and methodology.
  • Understanding of technical documentation packages/drawings.
  • Fluent in MS Office products, specifically Project, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio.
  • Problem-solving, primary responsibility to come up with solutions to an organization's problems.
  • A high level of mechanical aptitude and excellent math skills, strong conceptual skills, and the ability to comprehend and communicate mechanical concepts.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, able to organize and track pertinent sales/project data; able to multi-task well; able to prioritize to complete projects on time.
  • Proven "customer-focused" attitude; demonstrated ability to follow up and keep promises and be reliable.
  • Able to consistently maintain processes and protocols.
  • Must have demonstrated salesmanship, able to give presentations and accommodate personal style to the type of customer to be addressed.
  • Must have the ability to develop long term relationships with internal resources, outside partners, engineers, owners and contractors.
  • Must be able to use proper grammar and write professional communications.
  • Must be self-initiating, independent, have good problem-solving skills, work well with a team, and have the ability to organize time and diverse responsibilities.
