Program Engineering Manager

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Be an expert in Allison's Engineering Change Management processes
• Participate in cross-functional product development teams
• Define project objectives with engineering teams, managers, individual contributors, and suppliers
• Communicate status to project stakeholders
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Develop project schedules and track status to ensure execution satisfies project objectives

Experience:

Required:

• BS degree in Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience with electronic controls hardware or software development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability and desire to understand technical information and link it to program deliverables

Preferred:

• Experience with DFMEA and best practice management
• Experience with automotive component development practices (APQP, DFMEA)
• Experience with enterprise solutions for Engineering Change Management (SAP PLM)
• Experience applying ISO26262 (Functional Safety) processes to electronic hardware development
