The Role: Program and Events Lead
The Location: Houston, TX
The Team: Conferences and Events engage, and connect clients, business leaders and industry experts in an environment of knowledge excellence to extend insights, capture the moment and take critical conversations forward on key topics in the Petrochemical and related markets arena.
The team engages with industry at C-Suite and executive levels, showcasing our Chemicals and Commodities experts across a wide range of markets and pricing dynamics.
The Impact: The Program and Events Lead is a critical part of the overall event success through their development and execution of the conference program and fostering partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of the Executive Producer, coordinate conference program development through research, speaker management and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales and operations providing speaker related materials for various communication channels including website, email, advertising, and mobile app.
- Speaker management including research, correspondence, bios/abstracts/presentation collection.
- Event execution and production of onsite programming at the annual conference.
- Have a creative approach with a keen eye on revenue generation from event related and non-event related activities and participate in ad hoc business projects as required.
What We're Looking For:
An enthusiastic, project-oriented, and deadline-driven professional who can demonstrate:
- 3 years of experience in a relevant environment (Conferences/events preferable).
- Knowledge of Chemicals, Energy, and Commodities sectors preferred.
- Keen attention to detail and effective project management skills including the ability to manage competing deadlines with administrative organization and poise.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-collaborative skills at all levels.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentations and report writing.
- Empathy and understanding of other cultures within a commercial context.
- Ability to travel to conferences up to 10% of time.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $50,000 to $75,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
