The Program Finance Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of programs within AEVEX Aerospace. Primary job responsibilities are managing and analyzing program data, generating financial reports, conducting root cause variance analysis, and providing guidance and outlook on the financial status of the assigned programs to the Program Management team and internal senior leadership. Seeking an individual who will work closely with program management to drive and improve financial performance.
Essential Functions:
- Partner with and provide guidance to Program Managers, Technical Leads, and leadership related to the financial performance of contracts.
- Lead the organization in generating monthly financial forecasts.
- Lead program financial reporting process improvement initiatives.
- Oversee program budgeting, controls, performance, and variance analysis including supporting program reviews and helping program managers with cost reduction efforts including early identification of forecast shortfalls and the timely execution of countermeasures developed during the EAC and variance analysis process.
- Program revenue recognition and cash forecasting responsibilities include managing, coordinating, and maintaining the financial and planning activities of the business's program portfolio, including monthly bookings/sales/EBIT/cash flow forecasting and analysis.
- Act as a financial advisor in proposal pricing efforts, financial tables, payment schedules/milestones generation, and ROIC/IRR analysis.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing OH spending budgets and capital equipment expenses; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required
- Up to 10% travel
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance, US Citizen required
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years prior related experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project-based accounting systems
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Master's degree in business or related field and/or equivalent experience desired
- Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)
- Experience with cost/schedule development, budgeting, Customer/Management reporting, and forecasting
- Process improvement oriented, ability to identify and implement improvement ideas
- Prior government contracting experience
