Job Description

This Program Lead position will work under the guidance of the Program Manager to internally plan, manage, and report on the progress of new electronics and energetics development programs, and also provide direct oversight for follow-on production orders while being the primary point of contact for external customers. The Program Lead works with the assigned program team to lead program activities, resolve schedule issues, and maximize results in terms of on-time delivery, quality, and cost.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership and coordination to achieve hardware and non-recurring deliverables
• Maintains and manages accurate program schedule(s) and action list(s)
• Ensures appropriate internal resources are assigned to achieve deliverables
• Facilitates internal & external communication for regular status and for issue resolution
• Serves as the customer point of contact for routine updates
• Tracks and reports project status for assigned project(s) or project elements
• Contributes to overall Program Management (such as with EACs, Risk Assessments, etc.)
• Advises Program Manager on significant deliverable commitment changes, scope changes, or technical Issues
• Other project management duties as assigned

Requirements:

The successful candidate has a Bachelor's degree (engineering preferred) and at least 4 tyears of experience in the field of project management or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with new product development and/or complex production operations is preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification not required but desirable.
