Position Summary
With the support of the Bracco PMO team, the Program Management Intern will develop a strong model for how true customer needs are identified, prioritized, scoped, and developed into technologies that impact the lives and health of patients around the world. In this role, you will help the PMO team identify and manage continuous improvement opportunities to help create a more efficient organization. You will be responsible for partnering with subject matter experts to understand (create current state maps) identified processes, determine improvements (create future state maps), and assist with the process rollout.
In this role you'll enjoy strong visibility and engagement with the engineering, marketing, operations, and executive-level leadership teams. You will be expected to formulate a vision and actionable ideas and communicate them strongly and persuasively to present a clear picture of the benefits for the proposed future state. You will be part of a fast-paced an innovative team where ownership and accountability is paramount. A successful candidate will be a change agent in the organization and help build a framework for future continuous improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with subject matter experts to perform an analysis on the various, tools and systems to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Facilitate structured sessions to create process flowcharts (Both current and future states)
- Capture savings (time, touches, adoption, cultural, etc.) for each process
- Define what success looks like for each improvement opportunity
- Help the organization adopt and implement an improvement methodology (DMAIC) company wide
- Generate high-level plans, communications, and schedules to assist with task prioritization and workload adjustments
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
- Provide direction and support to project team and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Training to be Provided
Students will be exposed to working with various departments within Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT). They will learn key requirements that need to be followed in a regulated environment such as the medical device industry.
Additionally, our interns benefit from a buddy program, career development programming, and opportunities to build their professional networks virtually and in-person with BMT professionals.
Qualifications
Minimum -
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Organizational Leadership/Management, Mechanical Engineering, or any other students interested in learning about the processes that define an R&D organization
Preferred -
- Self-motivated and dedicated with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Knowledge of the DMAIC Process Improvement Methodology or other Lean Six Sigma principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to effectively transfer ideas, concepts and information
- Ability to work with various internal and external customers in a professional manner with proven experience collaborating across functions/groups
- Strong focus on career development and a desire to pursue experience in project management in a technical environment
- Prior internship(s), group or personal project exposure, TA and/or work experience
Job Location
- Eden Prairie, Minnesota (no relocation or housing assistance available)
Term/Hours
- May start dates are preferred, but other start dates may be considered.
- Hours: 40 hours/week
