Position Summary:

HII Technical Solutions is currently seeking a Program Manager 2 to provide direct program management support to our Government customer's Project Management Office (PMO). You will be supporting a security organization whose mission is to protect our nation's critical assets through enterprise risk management, continuous innovation, and excellence in mission performance and customer service. This position will be performed at the customer site in Quantico, VA with a hybrid work schedule that includes some telework.

Duties & Responsabilities:

• Serve as the Lead for PMO program integration support activities to our Government customer.
• Leverage project management best practices and coordinate with various Government project managers and stakeholders to perform portfolio analysis, assessing interdependencies for risks to cost, schedule, and scope.
• Monitor and track key DoD-level initiatives across the customer's mission in support of Government leadership, providing status of team tasks execution, schedule, and risk/issue resolution.
• Consolidate project schedules across the customer organization to establish an integrated Government outcome delivery/capability portfolio.
• Provide PMO support/coverage at Directorate and Agency functions as directed by Chief, PMO.
• Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Work closely, collaboratively and communicate effectively with all members of the project team including government and contractors.
• Manage tasking and oversight of team members' execution to facilitate and reinforce successful project execution.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• 8 -10+ years relevant progressive experience with Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related technical discipline. At least five (5) years of technical project management experience. Three (3) years supervisory/management experience.
• Experience working with DoD customers, projects, and processes
• Leadership and management skills as evidenced by previous work experience
• Excellent written and communication skills with experience briefing senior/executive leadership
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
• Good critical thinking, interpersonal, and customer-handling skills with a strong customer service orientation.
• Experience managing and completing multiple projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
• Experience using Agile methodologies during program execution
• Proficiency with MS Office products and working knowledge of MS Project

Desired:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Master's degree in engineering, science or related technical discipline
• Experience leading a team with subcontractors
• Working knowledge of JIRA and Kanban Board
