Job Summary
The Technology, Product, Experience (TPX) organization works at the intersection of media and technology and our innovative teams are continually developing and delivering products and next-generation technologies that transform the customer experience.
The Emerging Experiences and Channel Operations team, led by BJ Daisey, and part of the Reliability Experiences and Global Product Operations organization, is responsible for developing and leading the programs that allow us to deliver on our dedication to providing the best, most reliable network, product, and service experiences, as well as a consistent standard of excellence, across our customer base, inclusive of those from Sky and our syndication partners. This team also develops solutions that allow us to grow market share in unique channels, including multi-dwelling units, retail, and higher education campus environments.
Job Description
Role Overview
This role reports to the Senior Director, Strategic Planning + Execution and drives program management by supporting a portfolio of strategic initiatives and priority programs for the company. As a Program Manager, Design you will focus on initiatives that support our technology and product organization. The right candidate will help our internal design shop run smoothly by streamlining processes, assisting with intake and prioritization of work, and driving execution to allow designers on the team to focus on their main skill set, design. This person will work cross-functionally with a team of researchers, experience designers, and strategists to oversee the end goal of shipping high quality products and experiences. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with and support design team in delivering strategic counsel through all project interactions.
- Act as a bridge between the cross-functional group of researchers, experience and content strategists, product owners, and design leads.
- Identify team and project needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, asset management, etc.
- Implement or drive required changes to make sure design team members are working at optimum efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership in key project decision-making, including requirements gathering, scheduling, resource allocation, coordination of teams, and approval processes.
- Define and manage project schedules from inception to completion.
- Provide clear communication to cross-functional team leads and management regarding project status, resource requirements, issues, and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manage workload and timelines effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail
- Experience in user-centered design processes and iterative development processes
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience
- Authorized to work in the United States of America
