Job Description

The Program Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of projects and programs that transform the healthcare system. Through methodical planning, rigorous execution, and continuous oversight, the CAQH's Program Manager will lead projects to timely completion and maximize program benefits. The Program Manager reports to CAQH Solutions' Senior Director of Program and Vendor Management as part of an established PMO team of seasoned, disciplined, accountable, and self-motivated professionals. The position is full time, exempt.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality deliverables on-time, on-budget and within scope for related projects in a medium sized program.
  • Facilitate the planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring and reporting of program activities, including product releases, integrated project milestones, and vendor tasks.
  • Own to completion concurrent projects with competing priorities, limited resources, overlapping tasks, and in varying stages of the product development and project lifecycles.
  • Proactively manage risks and issues; escalate relevant issues to senior management, develop and execute risk response plans, and track issues to resolution.
  • Ensure program activities are in constant alignment with business plans, objectives, priorities, and organizational strategies to maximize the realization of the intended benefits.
  • Coordinate program stakeholder status meetings, and clearly document and follow up on discussions, issues, decisions, risks, and actions items.
  • Communicate program and project status to management through status reports.
  • Help mature the agile and traditional methodologies and toolset of the PMO.
  • Help shape project management best practices, standards, and technologies.
  • Acquire and cultivate working knowledge of the organization's products, business, services, operations and solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a mix of projects as part of a program.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive project teams to meet critical deadlines and realize program benefits using both traditional and agile project management methodologies.
  • Ability to efficient and effectively communicate plans, schedules, decisions, status, risks, issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, milestone-driven matrix organizations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of lifecycle management for software, programs, and projects.
  • Strong team player able to influence the outcome of projects without direct authority.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI), Scrum and SAFe certifications strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Atlassian tools, including MS Office, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • None.


EXPERIENCE:
  • 8+ years of professional experience in service or product-oriented organizations.
  • 5+ years leading cross-functional project teams or managing technical programs.
  • 2+ years of experience leveraging agile methodologies to deliver software projects.
  • Experience in HealthCare IT a plus.


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree required; business and technology disciplines preferred.
