Job Description

About Correlation One:

Correlation One helps organizations develop the workforce data literacy and fluency to drive inhouse data transformations and make the most of their technology investments. Companies need data talent to power growth, but there are many blockers to talent development. These obstacles range from structural inequities that have held certain groups back to a dearth of affordable, high-quality, career readiness training.

To meet those needs, we deliver innovative custom training solutions designed to upskill or reskill workforces. Our award-winning stateside data training programs — including Data Science for All (DS4A) — have expanded to support governments in South America and the Middle East who are investing in data literacy today to fill job opportunities in tomorrow's data economy.

Our programs are offered 100% free to learners, thanks to partnerships with some of the world’s most distinguished brands (Amazon, Johnson & Johnson, and SoftBank), corporations that recognize the urgent need to access, develop, and train talent to power data-driven businesses responsibly, ethically, and at scale.

About the role:

The Program Manager will play a key role in managing Correlation One’s live, online training programs. This person will work with the operations and curriculum team, and contracted instructors and TAs, to ensure high-function in one of our data/digital skills training programs.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent project and program manager, able to execute on competing deadlines and tasks involving multiple stakeholders. The role will demand a Manager keep tabs on learners’ progress and status in the course, provide support for instructors and other contractors, and work closely with Correlation One operations and curriculum colleagues. The Program Manager will need to run the application and setup of a course, including multiple software programs that record and measure applicant submissions. Further, the Program Manager will manage a roughly 16-week live, online training program, ensuring learners, teachers, and other stakeholders engage and benefit from the program. This person is a quick learner and diligent with their work. They will have an interest in changing lives through education and a desire to work on larger and larger programs as we continue to scale our training.

Correlation One is a company where creativity and big vision are valued. You will work on a fast-growing operations team and be able to directly collaborate with firms.

About the team:

Our team values a healthy mix of high-level thinking and a get-it-done attitude. Everyone checks their ego at the door. We have a hard-working but fun culture where the best ideas win, whether they come from our CEO or our newest team member.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the launch of Correlation One training programs, using our launch “playbook”; this includes applicant filtering and communication, hiring contracted instructors, setting up class technologies with input from teammates
  • Run stellar training programs, including by making sure personnel are operating well and course technology is working. [Note: since we cater to adult learners, this work may have to happen for half-days on some Saturdays. We offer PTO matching for any weekend work you may do.]
  • Create a friendly, professional learning environment by troubleshooting learner needs
  • Collaborate with internal team and develop insights about class function to the wider operations, strategy, and curriculum teams, leading as we continue to scale

Some skills we consider critical to the role:

  • Minimum 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Solid professional experience, ideally in project or program management, including in other educational or training institutions
  • Experience managing cross-functional, high-impact projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong, executive-ready written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and MS Office Suite, especially Powerpoint and Excel
  • Familiarity with Slack and Zoom
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Proactive approach, high attention to detail, and a quick learner
  • Passionate about educational outcomes and the success of both learners and staff

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Medical, dental, vision insurance coverage & OneMedical membership for employees and family members
  • Retirement plan (401K)
  • 15 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year (increases with tenure)
  • 9 company-paid US holidays
  • Official company-wide holiday for the last week of the calendar year (on top of regular PTO)
  • Access to free data skills training through our programs
  • Be part of a company culture that empowers individuals and embraces diversity through its core mission
