A direct hire Program Manager job in Indianapolis, IN is available through Belcan with one of our key manufacturing clients. Qualified candidates for this role will have a BS in Engineering and 5-7 years of relevant experience.

Program Manager with a technical mindset that initiates, plans, executes, monitor and controls and closes all activities necessary to ensure the successful completion of assigned program within established objectives. Provide significant expertise on complex mechanical engineering issues and acts as a professional resource for the team. Designs and develops a variety of mechanical components and systems for products. Manages program lifecycle in accordance to PLM process and ensures results meet regulatory, customer and company requirements regarding schedule, cost and quality. Partners with all internal functions responsible for business development, product design, verification and validation activities, planning, procurement, production, quality, shipping and product support (as applicable). Engages with customers to ensure transparent communication, maintains excellent Customer scorecards in collaboration with internal stakeholders, and seeks continuous customer satisfaction with the goal of winning new business.

Job Accountabilities:

* Oversees program lifecycle and manages all activities necessary to meet business goals and objectives

* Develops detailed program plans; including budget, resource allocation and program communication

* Manages the entire program process with P&L responsibility

* Ensures customer satisfaction through excellent service and communication

* Consolidates product requirements and develops relevant documents for internal and external use

* Develops ROI analyses, opportunity business plans and product development road maps based on specific customer service requirements

* Creates forecasts of new opportunities and expansion of existing programs

* Works closely with business development team and provides lessons learned to help mitigate any potential oversights on previously awarded programs

* Ensures previous lessons learned are incorporated into program planning and execution

* Manages Integrated Project Team (IPT) to reach the targeted project business goals and Customer expectations.

* Provides extended expertise in the design, development and testing of mechanical components

* Participates in engineering activities to define product requirements, create designs, perform simulation testing and validation of final hardware components

* Uses existing procedures to solve a range of problems; analyzes information and standard practices to make judgments

* Performs value analysis during the product design phase while optimizing product development costs and solves a variety of mechanical engineering issues and improves existing designs

* Other responsibilities as assigned

Job Specifications:

Education: Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Years" Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience

Skills:

* Strong project management experience and education

* Strong technical background to understand and evaluate technical specifications

* Excellent interpersonal, written, oral communication, presentation and facilitator skills with the ability to negotiate, influence and interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization exercising sensitivity to the audience

* Possesses excellent leadership, team building and managerial skills with the ability to direct, energized, motivate, train, coach, assess, evaluate and develop teams

* Possesses strong strategic/analytical budgetary management and financial measurement skills

* Ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple and/or competing projects/deadlines prioritizing/reprioritizing as needed to meet departmental and/or business commitments and objectives

* Possesses high degree of personal accountability

* Experience as an Engineer or CAD designer in a manufacturing environment or on the job experience in a composite manufacturing environment.

* Experience designing and maintaining manufacturing processes and associated fixtures, tooling, and documentation.

* Experience in laminating Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, Kevlar, or other composite materials preferred

* Knowledge of quality standards (AS9100D preferred), statistical analysis, root cause analysis, APQP, CAPA

* Experience in reading blueprints and GD&T.

* Sound technical judgment creating solutions to technical problems. Must have the ability to analyze data and make engineering decisions based on analyses.
