This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment.

Job Summary:

Our Program Managers drive global, cross-functional teams, from business award through product launch to successfully deliver advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) to enhance vehicle safety within the consumer market with ground-breaking technology. The PM will drive & own E2E program planning and execution including program P&L margins; ensure high customer satisfaction for programs delivered; oversee talent management for project management employees and ensure high employee satisfaction.

Your Role:

Drive end-to-end planning (from Gate 0 to post Gate 9) and execution of all assigned programs

  • Drive global program P&L for the assigned programs including above market margin growth for all programs leveraging relevant products & services
  • Define and execute global program strategy for assigned programs leveraging program management targets set by Region MD and coordinating planning and execution
  • Manage implementation and iteration for assigned programs and coordinate roll out with Product org, Service org, and Regional Eng. team
  • Own program lifecycle for assigned program
  • Drive big gate reviews and key customer deliverables during the program cycle
  • Work closely with Engineering Program Leaders (EPLs) to manage overall program budget and timeline
  • Drive / coordinate material improvement initiatives to improve financial metrics together with engineering and CPO team
  • Resolve escalated issues within a program by engaging with involved parties (Service org, Product org, and Regional Mfg., SCM, and Quality Lead)

Ensure customer program management excellence (Sanctioning/launch, Profitability, customer escalations) by promoting and adopting best practices and tools from Global Program Management

  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and ensure timely and quality resolution of all customer escalations and complaints through Flawless Launch
  • Work with Customer Sales Lead to ensure adherence to contract throughout program delivery

Enable direct reports (project managers, prototype coordinators, change managers) to drive quality program outcomes with high level of job satisfaction

  • Within assigned program: manage direct reports - set culture, develop and manage talent; identify opportunities to streamline work cadence/reduce inefficiencies
  • Oversee workforce planning and staffing process to adequately support teams for assigned programs

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in an appropriate technical or business-based field
  • Demonstrated success in roles that include project/program management and delivery
  • Strong customer interface skills
  • Methodical approach to problem solving
  • High level of communication skills, on all seniority levels, both internally and externally
  • Proficiency in Project Management productivity applications, including Project, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.

Additional Background Preferences:

  • Ability to create a joint force with commercial and engineering teams and drive flawless execution of program within defined budget by supporting growth over market
  • Proven experience managing a variety of tasks and ensuring all employees responsible are empowered with E2E accountability
  • Strong understanding in early program risk identification and initiating countermeasures or installing task force teams in time
  • Embodiment of company values and adherence to highest professional standards
  • Ability to promote strong collaboration across other OEM groups, programs, products, and services to support a unified and coordinated commercial approach
  • Provider of honest feedback, and employs rigorous talent management practices to develop and retain talent
  • Experience in automotive industry and product related knowledge (system, electronics or SW product development)
  • Strong coaching, influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role
