Job Description

Role Overview:

The Program Manager is responsible for managing strategic growth programs with diverse, multi-functional core teams; responsibilities include the planning of all project activities, synchronization of Core Team efforts and management of the overall project schedule, resource requirements, and project budget. The Program Manager will drive program execution while ensuring that the program/project activities meet internal and external customer requirements and follows S+N's Phase Review Discipline Process, including progress reporting and reviews by senior leadership. The Program Manager is fully responsible and accountable for the programs they manage from Development through Launch.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead efforts to transition programs from charter through commercialization

• Form and lead cross-functional new product development team in executing project objectives according to a written, approved performance agreement (Development review thru Market Launch)

• Work with partner groups to gain alignment & support to achieve project objectives

• Ensure projects are executed in compliance with regulatory requirements and Phase Review Discipline requirements (phase gate governance)

• Transfer product & manufacturing processes from to operations & marketing organizations at launch of project

• Capture & disseminate knowledge acquired during projects to improve S+N product development processes & systems

• Participate as a senior manager to improve environment & business systems of S+N

• Ensure that domestic & global market strategy, assumptions, business opportunities are measured & periodically reviewed throughout duration of project execution & initial product launch

• Lead cross-functional team in executing new product development performance agreement

• Develop comprehensive project plans

• Establish & assign team roles & responsibilities

• Provide direct and regular communication to senior management on progress, opportunities & issues

• Obtain resources from functional organizations, support groups & outside sources to ensure project success

• Continuously re-evaluate project to determine validity of concept assumptions

• Foster teamwork within team & between team & other groups

• Provide career development guidance

• Provide individual performance appraisals & compensation recommendations to management

Location: Memphis, TN (relocation assistance provided)

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of successful, demonstrated, experience in managing new product development projects in a regulated industry (medical device preferred)

• Demonstrates effective planning, budgeting and influencing skills.

• Can work effectively in a collaborative environment in a complex matrix organization.

• Ability to facilitate decisions with a large team and a range of levels.

• Ability to demonstrate and utilize creative and problem-solving tools.

Travel: < 10%
