Job Description

Natron Energy seeks a Program Manager to lead the New Product Introduction, Mass Production (MP), Contract Manufacturing and processes for fully integrated battery systems, based Natron Energy’s proprietary cell technology. The Program Manager will work closely with, and coordinate activities of, Product Engineering, Operation, Technology, and Contract Manufactures, to lead the new product development and introduction, factory ramp up, and contract manufacturer management. Activities to be coordinated include developing overall program plan and driving execution to meet customer delivery targets and company goals. Strong candidates have prior program management experience in the field of batteries or other electronic hardware systems resulting in >1 million units shipped. The person for this position has a positive attitude, collaborates well, and does what it takes to get the job done. 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead new product introduction through proto, EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP.
  • Manage contract manufacturer as we bring them up for production.
  • Coordinate definition of the equipment requirement. Manage equipment installation.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage equipment vendors. Manage equipment evaluation trial runs.
  • Ramp up factory for volume production as we scale up.
  • Manage material and inventory. Manage vendors in the supply chain.
  • Prepare factory for UL listing and ISO compliance.
  • Develop coherent dependency diagrams and Gantt charts for the overall program, integrating and coordinating the activities of the key business functions of Natron Energy.
  • Actively and continuously identify risk, highlight risks to all business functions involved in the program and ensure timely prioritization and mitigation of risks.
  • Provide program updates to the executive staff on a regular basis.

Experience and Skills:

  • 10 years’ industrial experience with at least 3-5 years experience as a program manager for electronic hardware products.
  • Prior experience leading the MP processes for complex, multi-technology, integrated power electronics products or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience with factory start ups, equipment installation, and factory ramp up.
  • Prior experience with vendor management.
  • Prior experience with logistics, material and inventory management a plus.
  • Strong, collaborative leadership style to coordinate activities of different business functions to achieve timely and cost effective mass production.
  • Knowledge of electrical hardware products, industry standards (e.g. UL, CE, Telcordia) a plus.
  • Capable of developing and leading complex project plans from scratch using PMP I/P/E/M&C/C Processes.
  • Organized, thorough and has a critical eye for identifying risks.
  • Effective communicator who is comfortable speaking up in a leadership role.
  • Has a do-whatever-it-takes attitude, thrives in a fast-paced start up environment and can deliver project deliverables on time.
  • Possess ability to effectively drive changes that are necessary for continuous improvement.
  • Attention to detail and quality and exhibits a pride of ownership in work outputs.
  • PMP Certification desired.
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering field.

Compensation/Pay Transparency:

  • Disclaimer: The actual salary of a successful applicant may vary from posted ranges based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity and alignment with market data, and other legitimate business reasons, including, but not limited to, compliance with applicable immigration law prevailing wages.
  • In addition, Natron Energy has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan with Match, Life Insurance, Parental Leave Benefits, Discretionary Time Off (DTO) and Paid Time Off (PTO) for Exempt and Non-Exempt employees respectively, and 11 paid holidays.
  • The salary range for this position is a minimum of $161,500 and a maximum of $218,500.
