Job Description

AIS is seeking a dynamic and driven Program Manager to lead diverse initiatives within our ATF Operations. The ideal candidate brings a track record of successful program management, a high degree of initiative, strategic thinking, the ability to work across multiple teams, and creating an environment that enables growth. They would have demonstrated experience in creating environments where teams can do their best work, manage resources efficiently, and produce measurable outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintain ownership and oversight of successful program execution, directing personnel in all aspects from inception to completion
  • Build knowledge of the agency and its mission to strengthen AIS' value proposition
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan to track progress, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time within scope and budget
  • Maintain a hands-on role to ensure deadlines are met and key deliverables are always accurate
  • Lead a multi-vendor environment, coordinating between various contracts and subcontracts of diverse complexities
  • Utilize robust communication skills to report on progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review programmatic documents
  • Interface with the Government Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and the Government Program Manager
  • Develop comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW) for each project, outlining the project's goals, resources, budgets, timelines, and performance metrics
  • Participate actively in proposal development and submission, providing crucial input based on project management expertise and understanding of the requirements
  • Ensure adherence to the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), NIST 800, and ICD 801 policies
  • Actively support and grow the capabilities of all delivery team members

Location and Travel Details

This is a hybrid position with travel to Reston, VA as needed

Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance

Profile of Success

The role requires a strategic thinker who can understand the big picture while also being able to drill down into the specifics of each project. A natural collaborator, the Program Manager should excel in cross-functional roles and demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional results at AIS. The ideal candidate for this leadership role is an experienced professional with both technical proficiency and emotional intelligence, capable of fostering an environment where teams can succeed.

  • Minimum of ten years of experience as a program/project manager managing large federal contracts
  • Must hold a PMP, FAC-P/PM Senior Level, or DAWIA Level 3 certification in Program Management
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity
  • Proven knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing and controlling funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms such as Earned Value Management
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes across all levels of the organization

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with ATF or l aw e nforcement agencies
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and prospective senior government clients
  • Bachelor's degree in a t echnical or IT d iscipline. Master's Degree in a t echnical or IT d iscipline is a plus .
