This role sits at the core of nuclear quality assurance and regulatory compliance, driving the execution of a highly technical ASME Section III program within a complex engineering environment.
You will be responsible for shaping and managing the processes that ensure compliance with nuclear codes, standards, and certification requirements across critical systems and components.
Working closely with engineering, supply chain, and external regulatory bodies, you will act as a key interface ensuring alignment between technical execution and ASME BPVC requirements.
The position requires strong leadership in interpreting nuclear quality standards, guiding certification activities, and ensuring audit-ready documentation and reporting.
You will also contribute to strategic discussions, influence cross-functional decision-making, and help improve enterprise-wide quality assurance processes.
This is a high-impact role where precision, regulatory expertise, and collaboration directly support safety, compliance, and operational excellence in a highly regulated industry.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the ASME BPVC Section III program and associated quality assurance processes.
  • Define and maintain procedures supporting ASME certification, stamping activities, and data report submissions.
  • Provide expert interpretation of ASME BPVC Section III requirements and guide engineering and supply chain teams in compliance execution.
  • Coordinate with Authorized Nuclear Inspectors, inspection agencies, code committees, and external regulatory stakeholders.
  • Oversee witness and hold point activities and ensure adherence to nuclear quality assurance standards.
  • Review and approve ASME Section III design specifications and related technical documentation.
  • Develop scalable, cross-program quality assurance processes to support organizational consistency and efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical and regulatory challenges using independent judgment and industry expertise.
  • Lead coordination efforts across internal teams to ensure successful execution of ASME-related initiatives.
  • Contribute to strategic planning discussions and mentor teams on ASME code compliance and best practices.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; advanced technical education preferred.
    • 10+ years of experience in the commercial nuclear power industry.
    • At least 8 years of hands-on experience implementing ASME BPVC Section III programs, including certification and data reporting.
    • Strong expertise in ASME BPVC Section III, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 standards.
    • Proven experience working with Authorized Nuclear Inspectors and regulatory inspection bodies.
    • Strong ability to interpret complex nuclear quality assurance requirements and apply them in operational settings.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to operate independently in a highly regulated environment.
    • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to technical and regulatory stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a complex engineering environment.
    • Eligibility to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 requirements.
