Position Summary:
The Program Manager leads and oversee the planning, executing, and tracking of programs. As Program Manager, responsible for understanding how projects fit into the organization, and more importantly how they can be executed simultaneously. The Program Manager leads the development and launch of a new cloud-based software web application in the board governance space. While overseeing the program’s entire lifecycle, from planning and development through to implementation and ongoing maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive program plan that includes timelines, budgets, resource allocation, risk management, and communication plans.
- Manage cross-functional teams to ensure the program is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to identify requirements, priorities, and expectations for the new software web application.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure that the product design and development meet the requirements and expectations of stakeholders.
- Oversee testing and quality assurance to ensure that the software meets the required quality standards and is ready for launch.
- Develop and implement a rollout plan for the new software web application, including training and support for end-users.
- Manage the transition to the new system, including data migration and integration with existing systems and processes.
- Ensure ongoing maintenance and support for the software web application after launch, including identifying and addressing issues and bugs.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP Certification, preferred
- Proven experience managing large-scale software development projects, preferably in the board governance space.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, project management tools, and risk management principles, including project and portfolio management software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with cloud-based software development and deployment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of board governance practices and principles is a plus.
