Position Summary
The Electronics Program Manager leads/supports the application engineering team with various tasks required to deliver automotive electronics projects to production. The Electronics Program Manager must be proficient in all disciplines of engineering (emphasis in vehicle/ systems level, followed by SW and HW), strong in customer relationships, and in proficient in general program or project management. Must be able to lead a project team.

Position Summary
The Electronics Program Manager leads/supports the application engineering team with various tasks required to deliver automotive electronics projects to production. The Electronics Program Manager must be proficient in all disciplines of engineering (emphasis in vehicle/ systems level, followed by SW and HW), strong in customer relationships, and in proficient in general program or project management. Must be able to lead a project team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead/support the engineering development of application programs with:
- Key project deliverables based on prescribed customer timing
- Requirement Engineering ~ Validation/ Verification: Vehicle level/ System level on the V-Model development
- Defect management, coordination, and resolution of SW Verification, Validation, and Quality defects on a program
- Problem resolution and 8D activities
- BOM releases and coordination of release notes within the engineering team
- Customer vehicle management and facilitate vehicle testing
- Interfacing with the plant on prototype builds and component kitting
- Change requests and implementation and monitoring
- VA/VE and cost saving ideas during development if needed
- Development and maintenance of project documentation
- Launch support at customer manufacturing facility.
- Coordination of Warranty Analysis & Plant returns if needed
- RFI/ RFQ activities
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Computer Engineering / Systems Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Strong leadership and communications skills
- Knowledge of product development engineering practices in automotive field
- Configuration Management
- Change Management
- Profound technical knowledge of automotive electronics products. Familiar with typical automotive OEM requirements.
- Automotive development phases and relevant requirements at each phase
- Working knowledge in structured engineering approach
- Experience in using a disciplined software development process based on ASPICE or CMMI process model
- Working knowledge of configuration management, project monitoring and control techniques
- SFMEA/ DFMEA/ PFMEA. DRBFM knowledge
- Risk Assessment method
- Troubleshooting and debugging skills knowledge of structured problem solving (8D) methods and/or techniques.
- Valid passport required.
- Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
