Program Manager - Federal Financial Management Systems

Chevo is hiring a Program Manager to join our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) team. The successful candidate will work as a member of the engagement team providing oversight for a government Financial Systems Modernization project. The ideal candidate will have previous Project Management experience, preferably in an IT Implementation engagement. At the appropriate time, this position may be located on-site with the client in Washington, DC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Project Management support-initiative schedules; Risk Register Management; SharePoint Support; and associated Administrative Support.
• Assist and support the Government Project Manager with process reengineering, workflow analysis, risk management, analytical support, outreach, and stakeholder assessments
• Strong written and oral communications are needed, as well as subject matter expertise in Federal Financial Management

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Information Systems
• Minimum of 10 years working on Information Technology project implementations
• Minimum of 3 years of experience serving as Project Manager over Information Technology project implementations
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex, time-critical support activities simultaneously, including analysis and data collection
• Knowledge of Federal accounting concepts and standards, the FAR, CFO Act, GPRA, GMRA, FISMA, TFM, and relevant Office of Management and Budget (OMB) circulars and bulletins on financial accounting and internal and system controls.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Ability to develop and execute detailed project work plans
• Must possess a PMP certification

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working on Federal Financial Systems Modernization projects
• Experience could also include, but is not limited to the following areas:
• Planning, managing, and implementing contract requirements and providing guidance on all operational functions
• Ability to develop point papers, briefing materials, and to make oral presentation of these materials to all levels of management, with emphasis on technical communication and RPA requirements
• Ability to educate and inform senior management on various alternatives and strategic approaches for approaching key decision-making requirements
• Ability to review, synthesize and prepare highly technical, sensitive and complex documents, briefing materials, management directives and correspondence.
