Your Impact

The Program Manager, Global Employee Recognition and Experience is responsible for ensuring a positive employee experience through recognition programs and engaging activities. This person is responsible for running and maintaining any of our current recognition programs (Values Awards, Service Awards, Value Coins, Tango gift cards, Aspire Nominations etc.). This person will also be tasked with implementing and owning brand new recognition programs, especially ones that help us engage our international and remote based employee. We also expect that this individual create proposals for new employee events and recognition programs where gaps are identified. Ultimately, this role serves to create and maintain an environment where employees feel energized, recognized, engaged and valued, resulting in a positive employee experience. This individual owns and runs all of Axon’s employee awards programs, including all swag and managing the Employee Store; there may on occasion be additional programs or projects that this person owns.

What You’ll Do

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona
Reports To: Director, Chief of Staff - People Operations

  • Awards and Recognition Program: Full ownership of all Company-Wide awards and recognition programs, including Service Awards, Values Awards, Value Coins, Tango Cards, Blueboard, and coordination for Aspire Awards. Maintain and improve company recognition strategy, while also creating, launching, and owning new programs.
  • Company Programming and Events: Own and maintain Axon’s company-wide annual Employee Experience calendar through partnerships with the Office of the President and Affinity Groups to build out a cohesive flow of programming. Maintain event traditions. You will not be responsible for large scale company-wide conference events, but smaller events for special occasions will be something that you own planning and executing (Bring Your Kids to Work, Halloween Event, Manufacturing Day).
  • Employee Life Cycle: Serve as a thought partner to key stakeholders on Onboarding Team and Learning and Development to ensure Gold Standard onboarding process, from pre-boarding through the first 90 days. Participate in exit interviews and partner with HRBP’s to identify themes in opportunities for areas of improvement and increased retention improvement, specifically related to engagement and recognition. Involving in these items will give you more insight into the employee experience so that you continually help contribute to a more positive employee experience.
  • Thought Leader, Creative Ideas: Create and Launch new programs, re-ignite old programs, creativity on how to engage with employees either as new projects/ programs or as a specific feature at an event, no idea is too big or too crazy.
  • Join Forces Expert: Partnership and collaboration is essential for this role; must partner heavily and productively with others in all facets of the role; it is essential that this person is an excellent team player, while also being able to execute on their specific duties
  • Employee Store and Swag: This person will oversee all inbound swag requests for employees. This person will also be the main admin and POC for everything related to our Employee Store, and manage the site.

  • Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.
  • 3-6 years of professional work experience is required, ideally within HR or a related field
  • Proven program and project management skills and abilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to translate business objectives and apply to program strategy
  • Ability to see the big picture, identify key issues, and provide proactive and tactical strategies
  • Very strong detail-oriented and organizational skills required with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high quality standards
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships and influence
  • Experience managing cross-functional programs
  • Personal integrity, initiative, leadership qualities, and the ability to work as part of a team in an environment that demands excellence.
  • Excellent time management, resource management and planning skills
  • Experience implementing programs, event and project management systems

Benefits listed herein may vary depending on the nature of your employment and the location where you work.
Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 70,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 125,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 80,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 150,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
