The Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing NPD (New Product Development) programs for diagnostic tests in a medical device and/or molecular in-vitro diagnostic company with the objective to deliver projects/programs on time and budget that meet business objectives and customer needs. This position is part of the Program Management Office and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA - Hybrid.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

People Management and Influence:

• TEAMWORK & COLLABORATION: manage at least two cross-functional teams working on product development; Share and leverage Project Management best practices; Develop and cultivate strong relations with internal and external stakeholders; Maintain strong working relationships/partnerships with leadership team and resource managers.
• CRITICAL THINKING: manage complex projects and situations by asking the right questions, acquiring data from all relevant sources and considering risks and benefits to solutions. Must display foresight and ability to anticipate risks, needs and actions.

Project Management:

• DECISION-MAKING: Utilize critical thinking to move strategy to action in a global environment; Determine team resource allocations based on project fit, skill set, capacity, and capability.
• PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Drive project management excellence through best practice methodologies; Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables, and responsible for tracking; Define project tasks and resource requirements; Drive in-depth understanding of business strategies, capabilities coupled with equally deep knowledge of development and commercialization processes; Estimate and identify the resources needed to achieve project goals through established resource capacity planning.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree required in Science or Business Administration with significant assay development experience.
• Five (5) years of experience as project/program management with three (3) years developing products in a regulated environment.
• Experience leading product development.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Medical device and/or In Vitro Diagnostic product.
• Design Control.
• Master's Degree preferred.

The salary range for this role is ($120k-$140k). This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
