As a Supply Chain Program Manager I (Manager I), you will be responsible for the development and execution of the supply chain strategy for the program(s) assigned to you. Your responsibilities will include total supplier performance and supplier management strategy, total materials budget, and program oversight of all subcontracts, agreements and orders on given major programs or portions of programs, as well establishing comprehensive material business plans and forecasts. You'll ensure timely and accurate completion of all cost, schedule, technical, legal and contractual efforts defined in the agreements between each supplier and SNC and/or its subsidiaries. Partnering with the Program Office, Engineering, Operations and Business Management in developing/establishing a program material budget & schedule and then execute within that plan. Within constructs of the execution plan, guide a team in managing and facilitating all relevant supplier's program execution, as well as identifying, mitigating and resolving risks/issues to ensure all work products meet cost, schedule and technical requirements. Leading a team in analyzing critical cost, technical and schedule aspects of supplier proposals, paying special attention to price and any exceptions to terms, the Statement of Work (SOW), the Technical Specifications or any other key requirements: then establish negotiation targets, including major subcontracts and procured material for portions of programs.
Role will require ability to travel up to 25%
Role will be hybrid in Broomfield/Louisville, Colorado
Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations. Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Program Management, Supply Chain, or related business or technical field
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Preferred:
  • 2-6+ years of relevant experience in program management, project management, and/or supply chain management
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Experience managing complex situations, steering cross-functional partners and suppliers, fostering innovative thinking, instilling collaboration, driving execution success, challenging status quo, and demonstrating the ability to adapt to dynamic situations!
  • Experience, interest and/or aptitude for working in a fast-paced mission-oriented environment
  • Experience interfacing across cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Experience and proficiency with Executive-level communication and presentation
  • Experience building and maintaining supplier relationships
  • Experience managing budget and schedule performance
  • Experience defining strategic approaches and translating strategy into action-oriented execution plans
  • Experience with the evaluation of supplier requests for proposals and/or quotes
  • Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals
  • Experience managing projects requiring Earned Value Management
  • Experience utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools
  • Experience developing and/or improving templates, tools, guidelines, and/or processes to drive streamlined execution
  • Experience working in aircraft, aerospace, electronics, software and/or other high tech industries
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification and/or experience demonstrating program management discipline
  • Experience managing projects using Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), agile and/or spiral development models
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes and ability to assess and ensure compliant business execution
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as it applies to Supplier, Subcontract, and Supply Chain Management

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:
  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
  • Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
  • Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.

Working Conditions:
  • Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
  • Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38
Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
