Position Overview:

Solid Power is seeking a Program Manager II or Sr. Program Manager to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries.Ā  Solid Power is a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative team environment. The Program Manager will act as the central resource and driving force for the product and manufacturing process development as well as managing the joint development activities with our partners. This is a critical position that will be essential to making Solid Power’s partnerships and product development a success.Ā 

Job Duties:

  • Manage external joint development partner relationships critical to achieving program objectives.
  • Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management to ensure joint development program objectives are met.
  • Manage and organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of joint development deliverables on schedule and within budget.
  • Review product documentation and collateral to assure alignment between internal development and external messaging/strategy.
  • Develop & maintain effective communication channels with joint development partners and all internal stakeholders.
  • Support cross-functional team through the APQP development phases from inception to production for Solid Power EV Battery Cell
  • Support phase-gate reviews and ensure program milestones are achieved.
  • Initiate and foster relationships with other groups.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Demonstrated cross functional team leadership and consensus building skills.
  • Customer facing experience as a Program Manager.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence thinking/gain acceptance of others at all levels of an organization and in sensitive situations.
  • Thorough knowledge of phase gate methodology.
  • Strong communication skills, analytical skills, and thorough understanding of product development.
  • Rapid learner who thrives in a fast‐paced start‐up environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Korean language proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to travel internationally.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a technical discipline.
  • Master’s Degree or higher in a technical discipline or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of industry experience with 5+ years’ experience in Program Management role with product development or manufacturing focus. The position will be filled as Program Manager II or Sr. Program Manger depending on the candidate’s relevant experience and background.
  • Battery cell development experience preferred.
  • Battery cell manufacturing process and equipment knowledge preferred.
  • Automotive industry experience (OEM/tier 1) with thorough APQP knowledge preferred.
  • Product development experience with joint development partners preferred.

Export Control Requirements:Ā 

This position requires access to technology, software and other information that is subject to governmental access control restrictions, due to export controls. Employment in this position is conditioned on the continued availability of government authorization to authorize release of such items, to the extent required, including without limitation an export license, or other documentation required to establish authorization to receive access to such items.Ā Ā 

Company may delay commencement of employment, rescind an offer of employment, terminate employment, and/or may modify job responsibilities, compensation, benefits, and/or access to Company facilities and information systems, as Company deems appropriate, in order to ensure compliance with applicable government access control restrictions.Ā 

Salary Range: $115,000 - $152,000 annually
