The Program Manager, LEU+will be responsible for the Columbia Fuel Facility capital project to add capability to produce fuel with higher enrichment percentage than what is currently manufactured at this stie, this position is part of the initial small core team. Early project focus to set up scope, schedule, and cost and the governing processes. Position will ensure project standards are in place for a large, highly complex project spanning design, licensing, supply chain, manufacturing, processing, construction, and commissioning of a major new facility. As the project progresses, the position is expected to have a small team to delivery project objectives. Other functions: Coach and mentor team members on project management functions. Creation of project governance processes for all level complexity programs. Resolve issues on projects with significant challenges (schedule/cost/risk). Mentor junior members of the project management team. Must have advanced skills in communication, cross-cultural awareness, leadership, and influence.
This position is eligible for a Remote working arrangement (within the United States) with periodic travel to the Columbia, SC facility. Requiring PMP or equivilant.
Your Day to Day:
- Direct planning, scheduling and monitoring of all Manufacturing Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Support functions work performed for new capital project.
- Direct integration and coordination of schedules for many different activities including: production, maintenance, equipment reliability, process improvement, cost reduction, new product development, building, facility, construction, commissioning, etc.
- Direct prioritization of project-wide problems and initiatives that are vital to improving performance.
- Direct facilitation of periodic reviews of established internal work inventory to maintain schedules and preclude impact to project milestones and objectives. Develop recommended actions to resolve conflicts.
- Team with management in preparation of staffing requirements, workload distribution, proposal development, cost factors, and organization budgets.
- Develop and maintain standard project and resource planning templates for multi-functional, complex workscope.
- Improve Work Control Process through implementation of innovative tools and techniques.
- Direct the project daily work screening and prioritization process.
- Direct short- and long-term work planning and scheduling for all production areas and support functions in order to ensure that customer commitments are achieved through effectively planned application and utilization of both human and capital resources. Hire, train, and develop personnel to ensure responsive, innovative planning capability at project-level while broadening employees' planning knowledge, skills and abilities.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree Project Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Construction Management or related technical discipline or equivalent
- Preferred: Advanced Degree in relevant field of study
- 10 years of project management experience with increased levels of complexity.
- Preferred: 15 years of Project Management experience in the position functional/technical area.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and solve high-level problems.
- Proven ability to analyze information and engage in complex decision making.
