Job Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for the development of operational workflows, driving operational efficiencies, providing process improvement, and developing program tools to support the client and organizational strategic goals. The role will provide leadership expertise in the development of new services and processes and to recommend changes to existing services and processes. They will collaborate directly with senior program managers and account leadership on the development of strategies to enhance the customer experience, value, and growth of the program. The role will lead initiatives to improve the overall customer experience for the project delivery team, vendor partners and customers. This person needs to be client focused and service driven, can build and maintain trust with the client and team, maintain the highest integrity even if it's the harder path, be honest but respectful with the client and team, and provide strong leadership to clients, and colleagues at all levels of this organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define opportunities for program development, continuous improvement, and governance, communicate program changes/initiatives to stakeholders and teams, document best practices, and monitor progress.
  • Enhance the quality of existing program by further developing/refining program tools and supporting processes to support various projects.
  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities for efficiency across multiple programs.
  • Present program recommendations to the client.
  • Report on program performance to executive team and directors.
  • Leverage analytics and drive efficiencies in data gathering to support data driven program decisions and performance indicators.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Align stakeholders, create program/ portfolio project schedule tracking, lead project meetings and communications, communicate risks and mitigation plans, provide project status reports to clients.
  • Meet with Senior Program Manager and team members on a regular basis to update program documents.
  • Lead creation, identification, and data insights to improve business performance and drive business actions (SLA and KPIs).
  • Work across teams to develop scorecards and dashboards used for measuring the success of the business.
  • Build productive positive relationships across the organization and with external vendors/partners at all levels to enable ability to influence and deliver on objectives.
  • Develop and drive strategic change management and business transformation efforts.
  • Manage and/or provide day-to-day leadership to various technical, professional, and/or administrative personnel engaged in specified project activities.
  • Supervise/develop and train employees by organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments that provide development for career growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of related program management experience.
  • Demonstrated management / leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience using data and analytics to make informed decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, risk management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Can work with all levels of management across multiple teams.
  • Ability to toggle between tactics, operational management, and strategic thinking as the situation requires.
  • Ability to schedule and manage time/initiatives/tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and motivate others.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project, MS Visio.
  • PMP certification a plus.
  • LSS Greenbelt or higher a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to move within and between client buildings more than 50% of the day.
  • The person in this role needs to be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time across North America.
