We at Northern Trust are promoting new agile ways of working, building high performing teams that deliver technology solutions for business outcomes with quality and stability. This involves working closely with the Business, Product and Technology teams to promote the agile mindset, helping managers make the shift from directing work to developing people and getting a division or a unit ready for change.
We're looking for a Program Manager to join our team and set up the modern delivery transformation office

• The Program Manager drives results through standardized, weekly, action-oriented meetings. Attendees include the agile leader for each work stream and other key initiative owners, plus the Engineering Director.
• Ensure everyone has access to the agile playbook and is trained to understand it.
• Ensure Team Assessments and Coaching Backlogs are reviewed on a schedule, and the improvement backlogs have visibility and are addressed
• Schedule and Cadence for the Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches for reviews and demos internal and with the stakeholders
• Manage & Orchestrate Weekly Communications and Newsletters
• Ensure each team has the required dashboards and metrics available for review and all the metrics are gathers for steers with the CIO
• Monthly status updates to the IT Strategy Office and QBR preparation for the Digital Modernization Office for the Ways of Working Initiative

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

• Relevant professional experience as Program/ Project Manager in the financial industry
• General PC knowledge including Clarity PPM, Microsoft Office, Azure DevOps or other Work Item Mgmt Tools expert level knowledge of Excel
• In depth knowledge of common agile, SDLC and DevOps
• Understanding of agile metrics
• High quality standards, analytical skills and structured thinking
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently and under pressure
• Confident communicator and capable of understanding organizational change dynamics
