Program Manager, On Demand Emotional Support

We are looking for a Program Manager to direct the daily operations and management of Mantra’s On-Demand Emotional Support (ODES) service, an in-the-moment support line for college students. In this role, you will provide supervision and direct quality assurance of ODES’s personnel, manage staffing and personnel issues, and provide support and consultation regarding ODES situations. You will also assist the VP of Care Delivery with program development and improvement initiatives.

In addition to supervision responsibilities, you will provide direct ODES services to students who access the service. This will require rapid assessment of complex behavioral health situations and recommendation of appropriate crisis interventions to be implemented with individual students, campus staff, and community helpers, potentially including law enforcement and EMS personnel.

The Program Manager will:

• Report to the VP Care Delivery
• Manage a team of behavioral health providers who provide crisis and on-demand emotional support services
• Foresee and identify issues on the platform and implement a plan to mitigate service disruptions
• Develop protocols, guidelines, and training for staff delivering on-demand emotional support services
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of our services and make improvements
• Work with our product and engineering teams to improve our technology platform
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to mental health services
• Receive incoming calls for clients, assess risk, mediate, determine appropriate interventions and provide referrals and follow up
• Work within an on-call schedule, including nights and weekends

• A Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
• 2+ of years of experience directly managing behavioral health providers or crisis teams that provide services to a high acuity population
• 5+ years of experience practicing high quality mental health counseling and/or psychotherapy
• Experience modeling empathy to behavioral health providers while establishing clinical relationships with service recipients
• Experience in telehealth crisis management or call center environment
• Experience with program development
• Experience working collaboratively to improve clinical and operational processes
• Experience providing independent clinical judgment

and the following would be nice

• Hold an independent, unrestricted licensure to practice counseling and/or psychotherapy (state equivalent of LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in clinical assessment, crisis intervention, treatment planning and treatment using a variety of methods
• 10 + years of experience of practicing high quality mental health counseling and psychotherapy

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $85,000
