Job Description
The RoleÂ
- As a Program Manager, Physical Security you will be responsible for the safety and security of GTI employees in retail locations and cultivation centers across multiple states. In this role you will be responsible for designing and deploying security and surveillance technology programs such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems. Regulations vary from state to state, and you will be responsible for familiarizing yourself and complying with security regulations in every state where we operate. This is a hands-on role, and you will be expected to travel to our various locations, manage installations, supervise vendors, and educate field employees on system use and security protocol.Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Develop Asset Protection Solutions programs and support operational security infrastructure through the creation and management of systems and processes that support the company’s operations and minimize enterprise risk.Â
- Assist in the planning and installation of security systems in both retail and cultivation facilities. Assist in ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.Â
- Manage and support assigned systems such as CCTV, Alarms, Access Control, Mass Notification, and Critical Event Management. Develop scalable solutions to fit the needs of the business.Â
- Assist in oversight of security vendor network for all company locations. Prepare capital allocation proposals, manage project budgets, and monitor projects through completion.Â
- Assist in the day-to-day administration of the various surveillance, security, and access control systems.Â
- Support physical security program execution through a 24/7 Security Operations Center that proactively monitors business assets and provides expertise and response whenever business disrupting events occur. Â
- Collaborate cross functionally and coordinate/support physical security transitions and integrations for mergers and acquisitions.Â
- Research and comply with evolving state-by-state regulations regarding security protocol for each of our dispensaries and cultivation centers.Â
- Communicate expectations and project details with external vendors.Â
- Communicate project details at regular intervals with internal stakeholders.Â
- Train employees on security systems and security SOPs.Â
- Conduct site audits and compliance checks.Â

QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- CPP or other industry certifications preferredÂ
- 5 years of direct experience in a field support or training function required. Â
- Knowledgeable about relevant security hardware and systems, including surveillance equipment, alarm systems, access control systems etc.Â
- Familiar with Vendor Management System administration and configuration Â
- Familiar with Network SolutionsÂ
- Vendor-management experience requiredÂ
- Skilled in project managementÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite requiredÂ
- Strong relationship building skills, with both internal stakeholders and external partnersÂ
- Must be available to travel (50%)Â
- Strong communicator, able to teach security protocol to GTI employees in the fieldÂ
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulnessÂ
- Adapt and thrive in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environmentÂ
- Possess a high level of critical thinkingÂ
- Operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential informationÂ
- Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of GTIÂ
- Must have a solid understanding of the Medical Marijuana laws, rules and regulations and passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the lawsÂ
Additional RequirementsÂ
- Must pass all required background checks Â
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry Â
- Must possess valid driver’s licenseÂ
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of ageÂ
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industryÂ
