Job Description

In support of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Program Manager to join our Plex Program Management team. The Program Management team coordinates and successfully drives the delivery of cross-functional initiatives and provides governance and facilitation of software releases. This role will wear two hats including being responsible for facilitating the release management processes in partnership with engineering and product management teams.

The right candidate for this job has strong communication and meeting facilitation skills, a persistent drive for completion and process improvement, and an ability to clearly present information for decisions and approvals. Desired qualifications include experience with technology, such as APIs, services, Platform, cloud (AWS, Azure), etc. combined with a a deep passion for the customer experience and demonstrated experience facilitating large cross-group teams to deliver solutions. Experience with traditional SDLC and agile methodologies toolsets such as Atlassian Jira/Confluence not required but desired.

This role manages programs involving software engineering teams as well as go-to-market cross-functional teams made up of Sales, Support, Marketing, and Product Mgmt. Candidates should have a clear understanding of the constraints Scope, Schedule, Budget/Resources and ability to manage issues to resolution and mitigate risks with contingency planning and anticipating issues. Drive planning, program kickoff, schedule development, scope documentation, and communicate status to stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Lead successful meetings with clear agendas and outcomes documented.
  • Resolve issues by identifying key doers and decision makers.
  • Risk mitigation driver by building contingency or persistently ensuring success of workstreams
  • Work closely with Engineering Leads in addressing solution needs and driving success with their deployments.
  • Work closely with the initiative owner to identify the key results and resolve any issues that may arise in achieving those results.
  • Identify opportunities where we can do better in our delivery of product (process, tools, technology) to increase cross-functional team's overall impact.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across engineering, sales, customer care services and partner teams.
  • Coach and mentor others in planning, organizing and coordinating work.
  • Evangelize and reach beyond existing solutions and technologies to incorporate new ideas.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business, or related area
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, not now or in the future, for this job opening

Preferred Qualifications

  • Typically requires 5+ years program management or related experience
  • Prior experience in Cloud software industry desired
  • A strong leader and collaborator that can pull together a team around a well-developed and a well understood plan of delivery
  • Customer empathy as demonstrated in day-to-day advocacy of the customer experience
  • Organize and lead/influence teams without direct reporting relationships
  • Effective communicator that has the ability to tailor the message to the audience from executives to engineering teams
  • Comfortable navigating and working within strong cross-functional groups and matrixed team environments
  • Proven track record of problem-solving ranging from conceptualization to implementation
  • Analyze data, make recommendations, and communicate information
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, build and deliver customer business results through an engineering team.
  • Passion for delivering a quality product and solution to customers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with enterprise customers and address their needs while possessing a deep understanding of the technology and solution.
  • PMP or equivalent desired but not required
