We are seeking a Program Manager to empower Braze to build a best-in-class product through operational excellence.
You will support the operations of the Product Department consisting of Product Management, UX Design, User Experience Research, Technical Writing, and Program Management. In this role, you will also partner closely with Engineering and Go-To-Market teams.Â
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a hands-on program manager, you will lead and drive initiatives to completion by working collaboratively with members of the Product Department and other functions at all levels. You will champion and practice managing processes as a product in your day-to-day work; you will develop a deep understanding of the pain points that our department and stakeholder teams face. Based on the problem analysis, you will propose, drive alignment, test, roll out, and iterate processes to increase efficiency.Â
You will support the major product launches, cross-department initiatives, and continuous iteration of our business and product operations.
- Major product launches and cross-team/departments initiatives
- Develop a thorough end-to-end project plan with clear project goals, deliverables, timelines, roles, and responsibilities for all teams involved within the Product department and across GTM teams to ensure alignment. Â
- Monitor and track progress against goals and hold all parties accountable. Remove any blockers to drive projects forward.Â
- Proactively identify risks/issues and come up with mitigation/contingency plans.
- Communicate overall project status clearly with all stakeholders.
- Continuously update templates and workflows based on learnings, such as refining release checklists.
- Business operations
- Identify areas for short-term or long-term improvements of the OKR process to increase efficiency and effectiveness as our org scales; create a proposal, gain buy-in from senior management, and drive change management efforts.Â
- Support strategic planning process and department-wide eventsÂ
- Automate various processes whenever possible to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Product operationsÂ
- Facilitate process improvements between the Product Department and GTM teams; guide the GTM teams to provide concise requests that identify challenges and objectives. Work collaboratively with both teams to develop solutions that achieve the goals most efficiently. Â
- Evaluate and improve tools and usage to help the Product Department make strategic decisions, including feedback management and analytics tools (e.g., work with product managers to streamline collecting, triaging, and actioning on product feedback). If a new tool is needed, assemble requirements, evaluate multiple vendors, and drive alignment on recommendation and vendor negotiations.Â
WHO YOU ARE
- 2+ years of first-hand experience in Program Management, Product Operations, Business Operations, or Technical Project Management with the product team at a face-paced technology company
- You have a genuine passion and a track record for setting up & refining processes/systems amid ambiguity to help the team achieve its goals in a most efficient and effective manner
- You are analytical and an excellent problem solver
- You have strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- You have a proactive, positive, and can-do attitude and operate autonomously
- Experience with product development tools (Jira, ProductBoard, etc.)
BONUS
- Experience working in the growth or marketing automation industry
- Experience at a high-growth, high-scale technology startup
- SaaS experience at a B2B company
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $95,000 and $115,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $115,000 and $135,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
