Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program management:
- Define project planning goals and objectives, along with definition and oversight of end-to-end enterprise software development and release programs.
- Orchestrate the program management function for software product development and commercial launch that includes cross-functional and matrixed individuals throughout the company.
- Orchestrate and lead software development projects that pertain to operational improvements and technology upgrades for Spok's software solutions.
- Monitor assigned programs to assure compliance to overall project plan, prioritize projects and tasks, and manage activities and resources to successful completion.
- Monitor and report on software lifecycle management metrics that track adherence to project schedules for assigned software release programs.
Cross-Functional Team Interaction:
- The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organization as well as strong organizational and analytical skills. The individual will exhibit an ability to work in team setting, sound business judgment and will drive for results with minimal guidance.
- Solid process orientation. demonstrated resource management, and ability to identify and resolve software development, validation and commercial launch issues quickly and collaboratively with cross-functional team members.
Project Leadership:
- Provide project management of enterprise software programs and special software development projects; ensuring completion of tasks owned by cross-functional organizations.
- Track progress regarding program plan completion with regular reports to the business on status of projects, project risks, and remediation planning.
Required Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or related experience.
- Industry training and certification pertaining to project management and agile development practices is a plus.
- 5+ years' previous experience in program management, project management, administration or related field.
- End to end project management experience from solution inception, development and launch.
- Knowledgeable in program/project management methodology and techniques, change management principles a plus!
- Experience with the software development lifecycle execution in a program management role.
- The ability to analyze complex business problems and define, validate and develop solutions in collaboration with development partners
- The ability to foster communication, provide clear and concise documentation and accurate reporting
- Experience defining, developing and launching enterprise software products (on premise and SaaS)
- Ability to plan for future work while maintaining current delivery with changing priorities
- Experience in healthcare IT (a bonus)
