Program Manager - Rev Mgmt Administration (Remote - US)
Job Description
Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Program Manager of Revenue Management - Administration is responsible for supporting the production of policies, procedures, and job aids associated for insourced revenue cycle and outsourced revenue cycle touchpoints. This includes coordination with subject matter experts on design of workflows, training, and socialization of processes and tools that assist relevant stakeholders in adoption and execution. The Program Manager of Revenue Management - Administration also directly supports activities related to Compliance and Policy Governance in the hospital, physician, and ancillary billing and collection activities. This position forges working relationships and partnerships with operations leaders, outsource vendor staff, compliance, and Epic support while working in a team sought out for their expertise and skills with revenue cycle management. This position manages relationships with all user communities and provide proper support, education, and customer service to leaders and analysts outside of Revenue Management team to assure effective process design and governance to optimize revenue, mitigate adverse impacts from changes, and effectively communicate with and solicit feedback from all potentially impacted parties.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinates with internal hospital, physician, and ancillary revenue services leaders to:
- Performs gap analysis of existing workflows for identified issues
- Helps identify and propose solutions with existing Epic and vendor system and service designs
- Pursues appropriate approvals for implementation
- Designs training materials specific to changes in process, policy, and procedure
- Assists in communication plan and roll-out of materials to train and implement with affected staff
- Builds and maintains a uniform governance structure for changes to policies and procedures impacting internal and external (outsourced) stakeholders within core systems, obtaining appropriate feedback and sign-off from all involved parties
- Supports project management of legal and compliance-driven revenue cycle audits and assists in workflow design to support action plans
- Assists in triage, appropriate routing, and escalation of billing-related patient complaints across stakeholders from outsourced revenue cycle vendor, ancillary services (e.g., outreach lab, radiology reads, pro-fees) not billed through BSMH, and marketing support for social media outreach
- Works within the markets as necessary on the standardization of processes, reporting and approaches to payer contracting, payer relationships, network participation and other strategic project from time to time.
- Leads and participates in short- and long-term projects, as needed
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of the current trends and developments in healthcare reimbursement and development of specific payer strategies, including benchmark research for new business opportunities, regulations, standards, and directives regarding governmental or third party agencies (Medicare & Medicaid) and/or third-party payers
- Adheres to the standards and policies of the Corporate Responsibility Program, including the duty to comply with applicable laws and regulations, and reporting to designated Manager (or employer hotline) any suspected unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful acts or practices

Licensing/Certification
Epic Credentialed Trainer - Resolute HB/PB/SBO or Grand Central (ADT/Cadence/Prelude) (required)
HFMA CRCR (preferred)
Epic Principal Trainer - Resolute HB/PB/SBO or Grand Central (ADT/Cadence/Prelude) (preferred)
HFMA - CHFP (preferred)
Education
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred)
Work Experience
5 years of training and process improvement experience in the hospital, physician revenue cycle operations, or health system performance space(s) (required)
