Program Manager - Service Engineering

We are looking for a technical Program Manager to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to Director, Service Engineering and is based in San Jose, CA.

Additional comments:

As a technical Program Manager, you will be a part of the team responsible for managing the programs, projects, and process to support the goals and objectives of the Service Engineering organization. You will work closely with reliability engineering, field engineers, supply chain managers, suppliers, engineering, finance, IT, and logistics as part of a cross functional team. We are looking for a Program Manager with a track record of managing schedules, cost, and meeting project objectives. The successful candidate will be someone who has a technical background, has used project management methods in a matrixed environment, is hands-on, understands requirements, curious, mitigates risk and acts creatively and independently. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, results focused, driven, energetic, detailed, and team oriented.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Change agent to understand the current situation and articulate a vision for the team. Develops and train team members to move the group to a deliverables-based organization and culture.
• Identify opportunities to develop and deploy economical solutions to service operations. Identifies and evaluates risks, or deficiencies while working with both internal and external departments and suppliers to deliver the appropriate actions to meet service operations objectives.
• Develops schedules, teams, and ROI projections for projects
• Understands and validates data integrity in reporting systems. Oracle and / or Salesforce experience a plus
• Provide regular reports and actively participate in service and production meetings.

Education, Skills and Experience:

• BS, (or MS.) in one of the following: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Physics
• Must be able to establish technical and financial credibility with the cross functional teams.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a project manager
• Experience working in a global environment is required
• Experience with product design and development or manufacturing operations a plus
• Strong analytical and analysis skills to gather, integrate and analyze data from multiple sources including financial budgets, production schedules and service forecasts.
• Strong Project Management skills and capabilities particularly in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing processes to improve organization execution
• Sound interpersonal skills and strong ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships; Ability to effectively participate on multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint., and Tableau (or alternative BI tool), and project management tool.
• Ability to prepare and effectively present formal reports to both internal and external customers.
• Flexibility within a rapidly changing, dynamic working environment.
• Demonstrated self-initiative and sound judgment on technical projects and other initiatives.
• Possesses a bias for action and an ability to multitask
• Ability to travel 0-20% of time.

Salary Ranges:

$103,300.00 - $148,700.00
