The Program Manager - Subject Matter Expert (SME) role is a pivotal position within our organization, essential for fulfilling the requirements of our governmental client, particularly in the realm of military healthcare. You will spearhead the integration of IT solutions into healthcare operations, ensuring optimal patient care, stakeholder buy-in, and workflow efficiency within the military healthcare system. Through strategic planning and assessment of informatics integration efforts, you will lead diverse teams in achieving organizational goals while navigating the intricacies of military healthcare. This role demands a seasoned leader with extensive experience in IT and healthcare integration, who is capable of maintaining regulatory compliance, fostering innovation, and supporting the unique dynamics of military healthcare. Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead efforts to integrate IT solutions into healthcare operations, enhancing patient care and streamlining workflows. (Moved from bullet 4)
  • Provide guidance, recommendations and tacit insights to a diverse group of stakeholders across various locations and multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Analyze and develop solutions for human capital needs, supporting strategic initiatives and training activities.
  • Assess the execution of informatics contracts to support healthcare IT users and military beneficiaries, contributing to the overall health informatics strategic plan.
  • Direct and oversee complex projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Generate, recommend and assist with implementing risk management strategies and governance frameworks to address potential challenges and ensure compliance.
  • Foster innovation and efficiency through expertise in informatics, analytics, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Ensure adherence to cybersecurity and data management standards, maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders to support strategic alignment and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage budgets, analyze financial data, and oversee contracts for optimal resource allocation.
  • Lead the integration of IT solutions with healthcare operations to enhance patient care and optimize workflows.
  • Direct cross-functional teams and oversee the execution of complex projects and programs.
  • Implement robust risk management strategies and governance frameworks to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Drive innovation and efficiency through expertise in informatics, analytics, and process improvement
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with cybersecurity and data management standards.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both internally and externally, to align initiatives with strategic objectives.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Advanced (Masters) degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in IT and healthcare leadership roles
  • Proven track record of success in strategic planning, financial management, and operational excellence
  • Prior experience in C-suite positions preferred.
  • Additional certifications such as CPHIMS and ITIL preferred.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Proficiency in program/project management and contract negotiation
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
