We have an opportunity for a remote Program Manager, Social Justice Education on our Center for Health Equity team. As a Program Manager, you will will manage programs and collaborativesto create equitable health systems and advance health justice. They will manageprograms to drive effective action across sectors to promote social justice and equity inhealth by developing and delivering health justice education to physicians andinterprofessional audiences; creating and supporting learning collaboratives toadvance equity across the healthcare ecosystem; refining and deployingevaluation tools to measure progress and identify effective solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Development and Management
- Manage the design and implementation of a portfolio of large-scale national learning platforms, learning collaboratives, and racial justice and equity lab spaces
- Design, launch and manage learning collaboratives of health professional societies to advance an integrated approach to advancing equity and test and innovate best practices through a learning collaborative model to inform theory, strategy, spread, and scale
- Develop workplans across multiple workstreams to ensure all milestones are met on time, set goals, track/report on progress, and mange budget; manage and improve standard program processes
- Develop and implement evaluation and dissemination strategies for all programs
- Partner with Center for Health Equity (the Center's) colleagues other Business Units, including Office of General Counsel and Finance, to move collaboration opportunities from scoping through contracting to launch
- Facilitate internal and external program meetings, including webinars, in-person meetings, and internal and external calls
- Identify and preempt barriers to a project's successful execution
- Support the Equitable Health Systems team in the program strategic planning process
Content and Curriculum Development
- Manage the development of content, tools, and resources for programs; edit internal and external reports, publications, and other program materials
- Complete background research / literature scan on specific topics, identifying content experts and potential collaborators, key resources and materials, synthesize findings, and produce a usable summary
Relationship Management
- Engage and collaborate with external parties including partners, funders, stakeholders, speakers, facilitators, and consultants
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degrees required; Master's degree strongly preferred, e.g., in healthcare management, public policy, public health, or related fields, or equivalent applicable work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in project management and health equity; experience managing national-level learning collaboratives and implementing national learning communities preferred.
- Demonstrate expertise of racial justice and diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, strategies, and models required; understanding of quality and safety frameworks encouraged.
- Demonstrated success achieving programmatic goals and program metrics.
- Demonstrated operational planning, implementation and evaluation of multiple, complex projects including ability to be agile and work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Highly proficient analytical and data-driven approach to issues; able to measure and speak to the impact of collaborative programs.
- Adept at conducting literature searches and producing summaries in written, visual and oral formats.
- Polished communication skills, both written and verbal; demonstrated ability to conceptualize issues and synthesize a response to be presented publicly with an effective, persuasive presentation.
- Excellent relationship skills to build partnerships with external stakeholders.
- Some travel required.
The pay range for this position in Chicago IL, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Washington D.C. is 90k-$120k. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location and business or organizational needs.
