We have an opportunity for a remote Program Manager, Strategic Insights Group on our Strategy team. As a Program Manager, Strategic Insights Group, you will develop and implement effective programstrategies aligned with the AMA mission and strategic objectives. Consult with key stakeholders to define,scope, and execute programs and associated measurement and evaluation systemsto understand progress and outcomes against goals; usinga varietyof methods, tools, and frameworks and to lead defined projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Market Review and Program/Project Planning
- Collaborate with the VP Environmental Intelligence/Strategic Analytics, VP Research & Analytics, and Director Market Research User Experience to develop and execute a research strategy for monitoring emerging healthcare trends and opportunities, and for monitoring and evaluating the user experience of AMA digital products and services.
- Serve as an enterprise subject matter expert on themes relevant to the AMA's mission; consult on the interpretation and translation of insights into actionable plans; provide guidance to team members across the AMA involved in related projects.
- Create, maintain, and evaluate enterprise-wide and a business unit-specific program portfolio in support of organizational planning needs; develop and maintain the various reporting, analytical, and modeling tools
- Lead scoping and ideation sessions to validate hypotheses stemming from market intelligence, user research, and business unit goals.
- Establish short-term and long-term plans for initiatives with clearly defined milestones, and track progress
- Implement systematic quality control to ensure that BU strategic programs and activities are grounded in sound design and evidence.
Relationship Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across the enterprise to support EISAMR as a trusted and reliable partner.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with an array of vendors, outside experts, and collaborators to aid in AMA program development.
People Management
- Lead, mentor, and provide management oversight for professional staff; identify opportunities for advancing staff skills and expertise.
- /Maintain responsibility for project and team progress and performance spanning unit's core functions; help identify and set objectives and measure progress for department.
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor's degree required, MBA, MS, MPH, PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience working in a high-performance organization, leading strategic initiatives and/or program management.
3. Experience managing a staff of professionals preferred.
4. Demonstrated success driving customer-impacting outcomes in healthcare or public health
5. Demonstrated negotiation and facilitation skills with the ability to exercise diplomacy, tact, professionalism, responsiveness, and a high level of flexibility.
6. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, OKR methodology, project life cycles, and methods.
7. Working knowledge of program evaluation, business transformation, and initiatives to deliver improved performance; able to conduct complex research and analysis, identify key insights, and recommend actions.
8. Effective time management, organization, and prioritization with autonomy; demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.
9. Polished interpersonal skills; effective communication, both written and verbal; with the ability to think and communicate effectively formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative.
10. Some travel required.
The pay range for this position in Chicago IL, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Washington D.C. is $90k-$116k. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location and business or organizational needs.
