HP is seeking a strong program manager in support of the Supply Chain Communications team. HP's Supply Chain spans across 34 distribution centers and 69 manufacturing locations in nearly 170 countries, shipping over 150 million products every year. The Communications Program Manager will drive operational efficiency and effectiveness, strategic alignment and integration of internal and external communication activities with all organizational functions across HP's Supply Chain. This role will draw upon expertise in strategic planning, analytics and operational excellence to help the Director of Supply Chain Communications manage the team and communications strategy for the entire organization. The Communications Program Manager also will lead strategic projects as needed - anything required to keep the organization running smoothly and ensure the team is working towards the same objectives/outcomes.

The specific responsibilities of the role fall into two primary areas:

Strategic management of the operational workflow-

  • Equip the Director of Communications to lead effectively in key internal executive meetings and events by coordinating the longer-range communications calendar across the organization.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on communication inputs and materials needed for all executive forums and meetings.
  • Partner across the Communications team on agendas, logistics and materials to support external supplier/partner, press and investor engagements.
  • Participate in the development of communication goals and metrics for the Supply Chain including setting measures and targets that support our broader priorities and business objectives.
  • Develop and consistently report the monthly and annual communication metrics and dashboards for the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement of operational processes to drive a high-performance team through development of repeatable processes and use of productivity tools (i.e. Teams, Smartsheet).

Drive and/or support strategic cross-functional programs-

  • Partner across HP teams and organizations to prioritize, prepare briefings, and track executive customer and partner engagements, including preparations for internal and external events.
  • Lead or support strategic projects as requested.
  • Track action items from key reviews and follow-up with owners to ensure action items are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Efficiently and effectively engage and influence stakeholders to ensure success of these programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including experience in Program Management and Staff Operations.

  • Proven track record of project/program leadership including leading cross-functional initiatives that impact the organization.
  • Highly developed collaboration and relationship building skills.
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking, analysis, problem solving skills, process orientation, and business acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including influencing and group facilitation.
  • High degree of flexibility and the ability to work within a fluid, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to develop external and internal executive level presentations.
  • Can read social engagements and is distinctly aware of their impact on others.
  • Cognitively and emotionally empathic and pays attention to what's said and unsaid.
  • Proven ability to work with/influence across all levels and functions within the organization to achieve actionable results through others.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and quality of deliverables; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities (both long- and short-term) simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills, including team-building, conflict resolution, and management.
  • Ability to communicate complex or abstract ideas clearly and succinctly.
