Program Manager - Transaction Reporting Technology
Job Description
Responsible for the planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables for a larger program which requires engagement from teams across multiple organizations. Communicates the target outcomes, coordinates delivery, manages risks, ensures compliance to standards, and provides visibility into the health of the program. Ensures execution and delivery meets the clients expectations in terms of the target outcomes, timeline, cost. Manages financials for the program, assist with resource planning, and facilitate sync points between business and technology leaders across multiple organizations. Establishes the target outcomes in partnership with the stakeholders and leaders. Establishes and builds relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations, as well as Compliance and Risk. Coordinates and facilitates the program routines - e.g. kick-off, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc. Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies across multiple organizations. Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to achieve the target outcomes and timeline. Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal. Responsible to provide status updates to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to the target outcomes, delivery, risks/issues, and schedule. Ensures that execution is aligned with target outcomes by working with the sponsor/stakeholders. Ensures the work delivered complies with Enterprise Change Management standards. Tracks the success metrics and reviews performance with stakeholders and leadership. Manages the financials and assists with resource planning for the program. Provides input to define/improve the Change Management process for the Portfolio. Individual Contributor.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Transaction Reporting Portfolio Lead, the role will work closely with operations partners and technology leads from across the organization to deliver the holistic solutions required to meet our regulatory obligations and the associated control framework. Regulations include, but are not limited to CFTC, EMIR, SFTR, MiFIDII, MAS, HKMA and ASIC. This is a high profile role requiring coordination of key stakeholders and presentation of progress updates to senior leaders across Business, Operations, Compliance, Audit and Technology.
The successful applicant will have a strong technology background to enable effective coordination and delivery with the system leads across the organization. Product knowledge alongside working knowledge of one or more of the transaction reporting regulations is highly desirable.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver the Transaction Reporting Regulatory initiatives front-to-back with associated controls to meet our regulatory obligations. Ensuring deliverables are executed on time and on budget
- Manage formal program governance with associated routines, roles and responsibilities between technology, operations and business sponsors
- Delivery of presentations for communicating progress, risks, issues and dependencies to key stakeholders and business sponsors
- Work with operations partners to analyze and refine the regulatory requirements given by regulatory authorities
- Translate and simplify the requirements for the technology teams to understand
- Resolving technology stream issues and/or escalating where appropriately
- Perform feasibility analysis, project scoping and planning, identifying alternative solutions, project strategy, and deliverable prioritization
- Oversee the on-going regulatory reporting obligations and ensure sustainability
- Communicating key updates and accomplishments to senior management and recognizing key contributors
Required Skills:
- 5+ years in operating in regulatory environment/risk/compliance space
- 10+ years financial sector/banking experience
- Experience transforming and improving business performance
- Demonstrates ability to build strong partnerships and being able to influence business partners, peers as well as Technology partners
- Can operate at Senior levels as well as detailed levels
- Ability to go into details and analyze trends for root causes is essential
- Demonstrates ability to think horizontally
- Ability to work the matrix
- Good sense of judgment, knows when to escalate and how to manage expectations
- Works among diverse viewpoints to determine the best path forward
