The Program Manager, Workplace Diversity will be a DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) thought leader and practitioner. They will report to the Chief People Officer. The role will work closely with AMN Healthcare's executive team and HR and organizational leaders to expand the DEI roadmap for AMN Healthcare.

Role Expectations:
  • DEI Strategy - Expand the existing DEI strategy and roadmap aligned with AMN Healthcare's mission, values, and organizational goals. Advance AMN Healthcare's culture of inclusion as best-in-class in the healthcare staffing industry.
  • Aligning HR practices - Actively partner with HR leaders to make structural changes that advance DEI across the full spectrum of HR functions including Employer Branding, Recruitment, Onboarding, Learning, Organizational Development, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Compensation and Employee relations.
  • Senior Leadership engagement - Partner with Senior leaders throughout the organization to shape their roles as champions of an inclusive work environment at AMN Healthcare.
  • Cultural transformation - Drive strategic initiatives and interventions to embed DEI in the cultural fabric of AMN Healthcare versus positioning it as a separate stand-alone initiative. Employee behaviors and actions should reflect an inclusive culture.
  • Partner with the Director Sustainability and Social Impact and Supplier Diversity Manager to assure all aspects of DEI are strategically coordinated across the organization.
  • External partnerships - Identify and manage external relationships with relevant DEI-focused associations, advocacy groups, events, leaders, etc., to identify diverse talent.
  • AMN Healthcare's Employee Resource Groups (ERG) - Partner with the Director of Sustainability and Social Impact to advance the diversity goals of the organization, working with ERG's as appropriate.
  • Accountability - Establish appropriate performance dashboards to highlight progress to the AMN Healthcare Executive team, Managers and employees.
  • Conscience keeper - Be the conscience keeper to the Chief People Officer on all DEI matters.

What we would like you to have:
  • A demonstrated track record of developing a DEI strategy for an organization, including establishing and delivering on quantifiable goals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for DEI.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space with a record of initiating and furthering business strategies and best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with large complex organizations having a diverse demographic footprint.
  • Experience and credibility as a genuine connector and trusted advisor in an environment where the ability to influence, work across divisions and build relationships is critical
  • Experience, passion, and commitment for addressing diversity, inclusion and equity issues
  • Experience designing and delivering DE&I learning and development content and experiences
  • Ability to operate strategically and translate strategy into operational plans and practical actions
  • Ability to collaborate across business units with diplomacy and build strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure initiatives are aligned
  • Exemplary program and project management skills with the ability to oversee and deliver across multiple tasks & deadlines
  • Ability to establish trust and encourage others
  • Ability to influence others without direct authority to achieve solutions to meet the organization's objectives, and is proactive in providing solutions, resolving issues and overcoming hurdles to deliver results.
  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude, with a willingness to be flexible and do whatever it takes to support the team
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with an ability to flex communication styles to effectively partner with different stakeholders
  • Excellent written (including editing and preparing reports), oral, and presentation skills
