Program Officer (Country Operations), MC-301-4C/4B

To qualify for pay band 4c you must meet one of the following:

Have at least one year of specialized experience relevant to the position duties and comparable to the MCC Pay Band 5 (GS-9) or an equivalent level which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, this experience is defined as: performing administrative and operational assignments supporting (development, implementation and/or closure) of international development projects or programs; acting as liaison with individuals and groups both inside and outside an organization, particularly with foreign governments and international non-governmental organizations and businesses, regarding matters related to international development programs; and preparing a variety of written documents, such as project summaries, status reports, briefing papers, presentations, and meeting minutes. Note: This experience MUST be well documented within your resume or application.

OR, education may be substituted for experience

:Applicants may also qualify based on completing requirements for a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the work.

Applicants may qualify based on equivalent combinations of successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet the experience requirements. Such experience/education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the work.

To qualify for pay band 4b applicants must meet the following:

Have at least one year of specialized experience relevant to the position duties and comparable to the MCC Pay Band 4c (GS-11) or an equivalent level which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, this experience is defined as: performing technical, administrative and operational assignments supporting (development, implementation and/or closure) of international development projects or programs; acting as liaison with individuals and groups both inside and outside an organization, particularly with foreign governments and international non-governmental organizations and businesses, regarding administrative and organizational matters related to international development programs; and preparing a variety of written documents, such as project summaries, budgets, status reports and statistical materials. Note: This experience MUST be well documented within your resume or application.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit may be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. To receive credit you must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours worked per week.
