Job Description

Are you looking to use your expert planning & scheduling and leadership skills in an industry that supports and protects explorers and heroes? We could use your expertise on our team! As a Program Planning and Scheduling Manager, you will lead the team in the development of procedures, standards and training for integrated master plan (IMP) and integrated master schedule (IMS) ) leveraging industry principles and standards across the entire program life cycle. You will evaluate the level of schedule compliance and identify reasons for completion shortfalls. Focused responsibilities include overseeing Schedule Risk Assessments, toolset development to comply with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS), business resource planning/tracking, and development of Program Planning & Scheduling employees.
Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations. Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, preferred in a Technical discipline or related field of study
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project Professional and familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) Tools
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of resource loaded integrated master schedules to include detailed schedule analysis, health assessments, schedule risk assessments, and critical/driving path analysis
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance required or has the ability to obtain one Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

Preferred:
  • Significant experience in program planning and earned value management in the aerospace industry
  • Working knowledge of PMI PMBOK or PASEG standards and/or Gov't standards DCMA 14-piont, IPMR DI_MGMT-81861, and Mil Standard 881
  • Experience with integrated master plans (IMP)
  • Experience with rolling wave planning
  • Ability to work across multiple software tools and comprehend system relationships (MS Project, Excel, Jira, etc.)
  • Experience leading teams in a coordinated effort to produce a complete and compliant product
  • Experience working with leadership to understand needs and provide solutions
  • Leadership skills in successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
  • Ability to cultivate and foster an active network across senior management and other key stakeholders as liaison between program managers, functional managers, and the program team

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $101,774.67 - $139,940.19
Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
