Role Summary
Participates as a member of cross functional teams, representing the quality assurance disciplines. Manages the advanced quality planning process between the company and the customer for all elements of on time PPAP and customer specific requirements. Generally, completes the following duties and responsibilities with the support of senior quality assurance personnel and or quality assurance management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Incorporates customer requirements to program AQP plan and assures requirements are cascaded to components AQP plan
  • Utilize the tools of APQP (PPAP, FMEA's, control plans, capability studies).Develop and manage an open issues list to drive on time closure with the cross functional team
  • Perform Phase reviews, Engineering / Project Management Process and Work Product Reviews
  • Conduct process audits to ensure accuracy of paperwork and inspection are present meeting the line process flow
  • Ensure that the requirements of the control plan are being fulfilled
  • Develop and manages a program specific quality plan for each new program
  • Drives PDP elements for quality deliverables as associated with PDP process including MSA customer PPAP, special characteristics agreement control plans, safe launch plan
  • Reports all advanced quality planning activities to customer periodically through APQP meetings
  • Analyze product quality problems and proposes solutions
  • Reviews process capability machine capability, gauge R&R for PPAP
  • Develops and executes program safe launch plan with quality plant personnel
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Provides quality/warranty concerns to team by reviewing lessons learned, warranty performance, and assures additions to the DFMEA
  • Performs plant control plan and PFMEA audits at major milestone events and manages drives open issues list with cross functional team
  • Supports plant by assisting or facilitating run it rate and PPAP activities (including PPAP to PCN changes after launch)
  • Lead resolution of discrepancies to drive PPAP to full status on time
  • Coordinates a PQP/PDP activities with engineering, manufacturing, SQA group and the customer where appropriate
  • Supports internal/external audit efforts regarding ISO9001:2015, IATF 16949 Certification for remote site location (group office)

Key Qualifications/Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor degree (or Bachelor's equivalency) in engineering, quality or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced knowledge in AIAG Quality Core Tools and IATF
  • Knowledge of automotive VDA standards
  • Knowledge of automotive functional safety standards ISO 26262 or similar

Experience/Special Knowledge/Skills
  • Minimum of three plus years of diversified engineering and or quality experience with increasing responsibility
  • Knowledge of electronics systems
  • Knowledge of automotive functional safety standards ISO 26262 or similar
  • Knowledge of statistics and production quality systems
  • Strong communication skills: verbal, written and technical presentations
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines demonstrate a successful performance with independent problem solving and presentations
  • Proficient with word processing spreadsheet and database applications
  • Strong presentation skills to fulfill customer and internal leadership program status updates
  • Strong understanding of Ford, GM, Stellantis systems; including PPAP and run it rate portals and customer specific requirements
