Program Specialist II

The Program Specialist II assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. This role also participates in family crisis intervention, teaching, group process and on call as needed.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree required - preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field
• Prior employees grandfathered in with at least 2 years of previous inpatient/partial hospital/residential child or adolescent services for each year of college.
• Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Child growth and development education required

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

• BLS & CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
