Program Support Specialist II- CIV

• Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
• Supports overall holistic child development and provides ongoing subject matter expertise in individual areas of specialization. Aids partnership facilitators and cross-functional staff and managers by providing coaching and knowledge within area of specialty. Supports child development community learning and improvement among staff and other stakeholders.
• Serve as a SME to leadership in developing annual national intervention strategies with other relevant Program Support Specialists.
• Support implementation and reporting of interventions. Recommend solutions for intervention activities. Ensure that interventions align with Program standards and outcomes. Track all CIV data including implementation milestones, reporting milestones, budget variances, reporting timeliness etc. Capture learning in completion reporting. Provide feedback to Partnership Facilitators (PFs) and Frontline Church Partners (FCPs) on proposal and completion report quality.
• Stay current with national policies, industry standards and best field practices.
• Develop and maintain networks for partnerships, strategic alliances and local resource mobilization.
• Use programmatic data to improve intervention effectiveness
• Review and analyse relevant information received from MERL to determine the most appropriate interventions that will result in the achievement of Outcomes 
• Contribute in capacity building of staff and church partners. Assist in the identification and prioritization of CIV training needs for Church Facing Teams (CFT) and FCPs. Provides training for CFT members, other program Support Specialists and FCPs on CIV as requested.
• Design and implement WASH strategy across the country (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene). This includes:
• Consolidate and provide technical guidance and support national office and FCPs on all water, sanitation and hygiene promotion related issues, to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, sustainability and environmental soundness in their implementation.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify WASH gaps and designing targeted interventions. Advise the national office and FCPs in the choice of appropriate WaSH technologies.
• Support the construction of water supply systems (e.g., boreholes, wells) and sanitation infrastructure (e.g., latrines etc.).
• Coordinating with technical experts, community leaders, and government agencies to ensure that WASH projects are sustainable, culturally appropriate, and aligned with local regulations.
• Facilitate participatory and community-based approaches
• Monitor project outcomes and evaluating the impact on health, community well-being, and access to clean water and sanitation facilities.

• Accountable for supporting, upholding, and engaging in Compassion's core "Cultural Behaviors" in all internal and external communication and relationships.
