Cox Media Group is looking for a Programmatic Strategist. The CMG Local Solutions Programmatic Strategist manages the fulfillment activities and optimizations for programmatic advertising solutions display, video, OTT, Google Display Network (GDN), YouTube, audio and other media that can be fulfilled programmatically. They adhere to the fulfillment processes and workflow for all CMG media properties. They develop campaigns and oversee the setup and delivery of digital campaigns between CMG and external digital fulfillment providers. The Programmatic Analyst will report to the Programmatic Manager.
The candidate for this position will need a working understanding of the digital footprint initiatives that are offered by CMG. This is a unique opportunity to support programmatic campaigns for a growing cutting-edge holistic and growing programmatic solution for large and small businesses alike.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Support Digital Campaign Specialists in achieving campaign objectives, key performance indicators, and timelines in programmatic media
- Create, implement, optimize, and manage programmatic media buys through 3rd party vendors and our DSP
- Research and propose programmatic campaigns and deals, including designing and development of strategy, identification of proper landing pages, PMP's, audiences, tagging and campaign analysis and insights to drive continuous improvement
- Actively implement and manage DV360 campaigns, Amazon display campaigns, ground truth, YouTube and GDN campaigns and Amazon and Gamut OTT campaigns to the clients' weekly, monthly and quarterly budget goals
- Work with the DCM and creative teams to develop content for display and video, including recommending best practices and conversion-oriented copy based on industry standards.
- Actively test and analyze audiences, copy and landing pages to increase ROI and drive incremental volume
- Identify and utilize successful bidding strategies and effective audience management on our DSP's and with our programmatic vendors to hit target acquisitions volume goals and efficiency metrics (e.g., impression goals, volume, & CPL, etc.)
- Manage key pacing and metric goals clients monthly
- Work with Programmatic manager to develop key programmatic deals and other initiatives
- Provide campaign support to sales representatives and drive programmatic buy in
- Provide detailed analysis of key metrics and program tracking techniques in order to increase overall campaign performance efficiency for programmatic campaigns
- Make recommendations and implement necessary optimizations as a result of ongoing data-driven campaign performance analysis for all campaigns
- Add performance data and commentary to client-facing monthly reports
- Provide feedback and insight on reports that will be delivered to clients as well as those used internally
- Be the source of knowledge for programmatic for your markets and have a sound understanding of programmatic buying
- Maintain high levels of current knowledge of best practices and strategies in the management of programmatic media buying
- Participate with Digital Campaign Specialists in client meetings during account planning and development, as needed
- Collaborate on the development of competitive analyses
- Have a sound understanding of DV360, CM360 and the Google marketing suite
- Be able to speak towards and have a sound understanding of SSP's, RTB, Ad servers and Publisher products
- Consistently collaborate with all departments and management within CMG Digital Revenue & Operations to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction
- Keep up to date on all client and campaign communications including buy authorizations, PMP's, audience segmentation, tracking reports, buy changes, creative specifications, etc.
What we look for
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- 2 years of experience working in a digital advertising operations or fulfillment role
- 2 years managing programmatic media campaigns
- 1+ years of working with programmatic software, Google suite and other programmatic vendors
- 1+ years of experience with video and OTT
- Proven skills in digital campaign management including campaign performance against SLAs and KPIs
- Resourceful, results-driven and excels at managing teams to "get things done"
- Strong ability to negotiate and problem solve issues to positive outcomes
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of production management platforms and digital marketing tools, i.e. Display and Video 360, Campaign Manager 360, Amazon Display platform, Google Data studio, Analytics, YouTube, Google AdWords, Google Display Network etc.
- Analytical and possess the ability to evaluate data and interpret results
- Direct experience with interactive marketing and media strategy, planning and campaign management
- Digital agency experience preferred
- BA/BS from a 4-year university or equivalent preferred
- DV360, Google Ad, Google Analytics and CM360 Certification
